Shireen turns eight and November ends

OK, here is the second of those three sunset photos that I took a couple of weeks back. I was going to post a photo of Shireen today since it's her birthday - HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY SHIREEN - but when I went to I realised I don't have any of them on my PC so decided to just forget that idea and post the next sunset photo.

Anyway...

Turned on my PC today and couldn't type. So, after checking that it was plugged in (for some reason, it wasn't... can you say "bad kitty?") and doing a restart I get the keyboard typing, but only if I held down the key for a certain amount of time, which totally stumped me for a while. Then I remembered something I'd seen when checking settings when I first got the new PC and went and looked in the keyboard's setting... Anyway... to cut a long story short, it turned out that for some strange reason the box by the option to "ignore single key strokes" (or something like that) has checked. So, I unchecked that box and now it works fine. Thankfully! I thought for a minute there that I should have gotten a new keyboard when I got the new PC. I'm glad that turned out not to be the case! LOL!

Well, I decided to make a new page for my poems, so, if you direct your attention to the right in the sidebar (under the heading of "Also See...") then you will see the link to Tori's Poetry Spot. I've only gotten about half of my poems on there so far, but anyway, it's there if you want to look. I've used the "post labels" option to make a bit where you can browse my poems by subject, which I'm pretty pleased with myself for doing. LOL!

Anyhow, the table is booked for us for my Mam's birthday dinner on Saturday December 16th (her birthday is on the 19th, but Jo can't make it for her actual birthday so we're going early). They wanted me to book it since I have the number of the Chinese place Mam and I love saved in my mobile phone where as Mam would have to look it up. LOL! But, anyway, I booked it today because I wanted to make sure we could go at the time we wanted so that it doesn't interfere with my stream and the campaign thingy that Kelly's starting up with the club. I was worried if we left it too long there would be so many people booking Christmas dinners and such that we wouldn't even get a table for one, let alone a table for three... lol!

The radio just made me laugh - again - there was an advert on it (for a child trust fund in case you wanted to know) and it always makes me laugh... why? Well, because the main part of the add is this little kid - can't be older than eight or nine, if that - saying, "the incey, wincey spider climbed up the water spout, down came the rain and.... well... flooded the main drain basically" then it goes on to talk about you not knowing what your child will be when he or she grows up so open it a trust fund, and then before they end it this same kid says, "see, it wasn't just the spout, it was the whole drain... talk about shoddy workmanship!" LOL!

So, anyways, now that I've told my Mam about it I can tell you guys what I did the other day. So, like I said yesterday, I got my new CD rack and while I was changing stuff about a bit to put that where I wanted it I decided to put my ornaments up on higher shelves where the cats don't go so much so that they should be safe (since they've already broken a couple, though none that I really liked, lol). Anyway, I was up on a chair putting my ornaments up and lost my balance... I had a choice at this point, let go of the ornament I was holding (a crystal horse) and make sure I got my balance back, or, hold on to it and fall and hope it didn't break. Well, figuring it would break either way anyway, I let go off it. Managed to steady myself on the chair but - as predicted - the horse hit the floor and... SMASH! Luckily, Sakura and Megan were out and the smash was enough to send Kero and Chance from the room as fast as their little paws would carry them, giving me time to carefully climb down and pick up the piecess of ornament. I did look to see if it could have been repaired, but nope! And it was one of my favourites too!!! I now have a cut across my thumb where a piece of it bounced off the floor and hit my hand, but other than that no damage was done to anything or anyone but the ornament. So, that's good, I guess. Still, I did love that ornament!

Wow... we're on the last day of November already!!! This means that tomorrow my decks are going up and the countdown to Christmas will begin! Woohoo!!! However, this also means I better get my butt in gear and get these cards written and the rest of these presents wrapped (or, if I don't have them yet, get them brought and then wrapped) or they wont get to people in time!!!

Hey, would you believe me if I said that when I came on here to post today I wasn't sure wht I was going to say other than that it was Shireen's birthday. In fact, when I first started my blog I really had no idea what I was going to write about, I just wanted one because my Grandma and my Great Aunt Lizzie had each made one and I wanted to see how they worked. LOL!

OK people, grab your cuppa... I've got a lot that I want to say today! LOL!

Never managed to get the stuff I was taking to Mam's sorted out last night before going to bed so had to sort them this morning instead. Got them done though (I was right, I had wrapped all Grandma, Jo-Jo and Jayde's pressies). So, they are now up with Mam and Dad to go to Grandma's house at the weekend.

It was only this evening that I got the CDs in the new rack though, and I wasn't sure what to do with my old CD drawers (was never very keen on them anyway) but found a perfect solution today, because Elizabeth has no storage for her CDs and hasn't got nearly as many as me so they will be more than enough for her CDs so she's having them.

Speaking of Elizabeth, I showed her how to change the colours and stuff on blogger and man you should see her blog! Bright isn't the word for it... lol! It looks great though. Wayne's has had a colour change too. And speaking of blogs, my Mam now has one as well. I'm not sure she knows what she's going to be posting on it, but she has one either way. I was helping Elizabeth with hers and my Mam asked how she would make one and so I told her and as I was telling her what one would do to make a blog she was doing it, lol! Then I helped her get the links to our blogs on it so she can look at them if she wants to.

Finally got my haircut today. I've been saying for ages that I need one and happened to mention to my Mam (yes, I was hinting, since she usually cuts my hair for me) that it would be nice if I could have my hair cut in time for our dinner out on December 6th and she got the hint, I guess, 'cause she cut my hair for me while I was up there today. LOL!

Willow loved the pressies we got her for her birthday by the way. We got her a new blanket and a bone and she was alternating between carrying them around with her all afternoon... bless her!

Been trying to figure out what I've got to do and when I've got to do it over the next month. I do this every month and some months are a lot fuller than others. I'm meant to be ordering a cake for my Mam's birthday (because she's asked for one) and I've got the Christmas dinner on December 6th, then my Mam's birthday dinner on December 16th. Then on 23rd December Mam is coming down here and we're making mince pies for both houses and then Mam, Dad, Carl and Rachel are all coming down for a while on Christmas day. Those are the main bits. Of course there are also things like making sure I have everyone's Christmas pressents (got most of them) and making sure everyone gets a Christmas card from me. Then, of course, there are the normal routine things like making sure bills get paid, grocery shopping, doing my streams and that kind of thing. Holy crap! I've gone from being bored and moaning I need a hobby to being so busy that while I'm listing these I'm thinking "and when will I have time to just sit down and read? Or watch TV? Or just simply sit and do nothing!!!" But then, when does anyone have time for that stuff at this time of year???

Just remembered I haven't commented on today's photo... so... the photo was taken a couple of weeks back but I didn't get around to posting it. Anyway, it was taken with me standing in my back garden looking over at the trees by the river where I walk Kero just as the sun was beginning to set. It's the first of three photos and I will be posting the other two shortly.

I'm listening to the radio - as usual - and it's 'The Real Jukebox' (a request show on Real Radio, which is the station I listen to). Anyway, someone text in asking for a song for while he puts his tree up and Dave (the DJ) said "come on, it's not even December yet, why are you putting your tree up?" And I have to say, I agree. I mean, I LOVE the Christmas decks and can't wait to have mine up but I don't think they should go up until December, which is why I'm waiting until Friday to put mine up.

My Mam's putting hers up today though. I guess it's since she'll be away for most of the weekend, because she doesn't usually put the decks up until December 1st. They do look really cool though, but I'm still leaving mine until Friday. Then Kero and the cats can 'help' me with them... LMAO!!!

I was a good girl tonight and had a nice healthy dinner... baked potato with mixed veg (yes, Grandma, I even ate the brocoli that was in it). I made the same thing for Kelly for his dinner, but he ended up having some chicken nuggets with his since - as he has pointed out many a time - he's not on a diet and refuses to live on rabbit food. LOL!

OK, well, I think that should just about do it for today, lol!

A quote

I was looking around on Kerry's blog (which, by the way, she's done a lot of great work on) and I saw this quote on one of her pages and just 'had to' swipe it and post it on my blog...

"As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin."

...^...

If you've been looking for the weekly weigh-in post, stop looking right now, because you wont find it. I know I said yesterday I was getting weighed today, but I didn't get weighed. I was going to, but... well, what happened was... we - Mam, Dad and I - got into town and headed for Argos first so we could pick up my new CD rack that I wanted (I have about 240 CDs now and only space for 200 of them, lol) and when the CD rack was safely in the car, Dad went to park in Tesco's car park while Mam and I went to do what we had to in town. Anyway, we got in to Boots (where we weigh) and frankly we couldn't get more than a foot inside the store so we went back out and agreed that it wouldn't be an option to weigh. Besides, we were both getting hungry (we don't have breakfast on weigh day) and because of that neither of us were feeling too great. So, we went to find something to eat instead. Anyway, we've both agreed that we wont be weighing between now and the new year because we probably wont loose anything anyway (not with two dinners out and CHristmas around the corner) so quite frankly we'd be wasting a lot of time trying to get near the scales.

I will still be watching what I'm eating (as best as possible... I mean, it's the holidays and as you will all agree it is hard to stick to a diet through the holiday season) I just wont be weighing until after the new year because we want to get Christmas out of the way and almost nothing is open between Christmas and the new year so there's no point trying to go anywhere during that week.

Anyway... like I said, I went to town today and got me a new CD rack. My Mam put it together before she left and later I'll be putting all my CDs in it. Got the parcel mailed to Kerry today too, so, that should be with her in about a week (give or take). And doing her parcel reminded me that I haven't sorted cards and such for the family and friends I have abroad so I better get that done. I've brought almost all the stuff I just haven't gotten around to sorting it out yet.

And speaking of sorting out stuff that's got to go elsewhere, I better get my Grandma's card written and make sure I've wrapper the stuff for her house as I'm meant to take it up to my Mam tomorrow so that she can take it to my Grandma on the weekend. I'm pretty sure I've wrapped all Grandma, Jayde and Jo-Jo's stuff though.

Speaking of stuff I have to take with me to my Mam's place... it's Willow's birthday today (yes, that is why I'm using her photo as today's picture). But, I haven't seen Willow today though so I will be giving her the stuff I got her tomorrow when I go up there. I bet she'll love that... two birthdays! Lucky dog! Anyway... hope you have a very HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY WILLOW MOONSHADOW!!!

As you can see if you scroll down past this post, we had a mini tornado not far from us in the wee hours of the mornin'. Not as bad as it could have been, let me tell you, but still not a nice thing to hear about when you get up in the morning, is it?

Well, I just know there was somthing else I was going to say when I did my blog tonight, but I've been sat here for a while now and I just can't think what it could be, so, I guess I'dd just end this and if I remember I can always post again later. LOL!

MINI TORNADO HITS WEST WALES

"A Welsh village has been hit by a mini tornado. The severe weather has made it's way across Bow Street, near Aberystwyth, in the early hours of this morning. Over twenty homes and businesses have been badly damaged. No-one has been injured."

That bit above is exactly how Real Radio have it on their site since that's where I went to try and get some more info. I heard the news reporter say it on the radio this morning when I got up (radio is on 24 hours a day in the bedroom, yes, even if we aren't home). Not sure how far away from us Aberystwyth is but I know it's not all that far away since I'm pretty sure that's where my Dad used to go once a week for one of his AD&D games.

And this next bit I got from BT's news page...

"Emergency services were called to Bow Street in Aberystwyth, West Wales, shortly after 2am.

A spokesman for Dyfed Powys Police said: "It was apparent that what is believed to be a tornado had struck parts of the village. Commercial and residential premises, vehicles and caravans were damaged." He added that nobody was thought to have been injured.

Earlier, weather experts had put parts of Britain on tornado alert.
The Tornado and Storm Research Organisation (Torro) issued a warning at 12.55am of isolated severe thunderstorms or weak tornadoes over the next few days - known as a convective discussion.

The warning, published on Torro's website, applies to parts of south-west England, East Wales, south Wales and much of southern, central and eastern England.

It said: "The highest tornado risk would appear to be along and close to the south coast."

Torro, which is based in Oxford, issues three levels of warning of severe weather - convective outlook, convective discussion, and severe thunderstorm and tornado watches.

It stopped short of issuing the highest level of alert - a convective outlook - because it deemed the likelihood of severe, widespread thunderstorms was "rather marginal".

Rachel Vince, forecaster at the MeteoGroup UK, said: "We have had reports of a tornado near Portsmouth on Saturday. The main concern is general wind and heavy rain through the next 24 to 48 hours.""

Another weekend gone

Well, there you have it! Yet another Monday almost over, and this time next month Christmas will be over with and we'll be counting down the days, hours and minutes to the new year, how about that then? Has your year flown by as fast as my year has?

I'm really looking forward to Christmas this year. I don't know that I was last year, but this year I definately am!!! I SO can't wait!!! Not sure why though... I guess I'm just managing to get into the Christmas spirit better this year, eh?

There were so many things that I wanted to get done this weekend and I was only able to achieve about half of them. I think someone bewitched all the clocks or something, because everything seemed to take at least twice as long as it should have.

Anyway, I went in to town today to find some milk bones for Scotty and now that I have milkbones for him I will be getting this parcel sorted out to send to Canada. I'd hoped to get the milkbones all nice and neatly in a box but I guess everyone needed milkbones today because there wasn't a milkbone box in sight and we tried all THREE grocery stores PLUS the pet store. Anyway, I finally managed to get some loose ones in the pet store so instead of in a nice box like I'd hoped, they will be just in a bag. Still, at least I have them now. So, I'm hoping to get this parcel mailed tomorrow (Tuesday).

Tomorrow's weigh day too. I doubt I've lost any though since I've been a VERY naughty girl. Yesterday I pinched some of Kelly's chocolate and then today I had a fried egg sandwich (and made my Dad laugh by finishing it off with a glass of diet cola) and some mince pies. Yes, I did enjoy them thank you. LOL! But, anyway, like I said, I doubt I'll loose any weight this week now. To be honest, I doubt I'll loose any more between now and the new year. I mean, I have the Christmas dinner with the Welsh class on the 6th of December, possibly another dinner on the 16th of December (a birthday dinner for my Mam who's birthday is three days later... she does know about it, lol) and then there's Christmas. So, all in all I will be VERY surprised if I loose any weight in this next month or so.

By the way, I see you signed my guest book earlier Kerry... thank you! *smiles*

Tori

Alright!!!

I have FINALLY managed to get all of our stuff over on to Blogger Beta! Woohoo! We even now have a brand new 'Important Dates' page. I shan't be bothering with a new homepage or a who's who page though or a new 'World Of Warcraft Characters' page. The W. O. W. character list is fine on Kelly's page and the homepage just confused people anyways... LOL!

AWESOME!!!

OK, it's official! I LOVE this new Blogger thing! Look at this!!! A purple and red blog... how cool is that??? Purple and red are like my two favourite colours and now I can have my blog in both of them!!!! Woohoo!!! And look... this is my default text colour... how about that then? PURPLE as the default text colour!!! Yeeeaaahhh baaabbbyyy!!! That's what I'm talkin' about!!! Woohoo!!!

Tori

Cool

I managed to get a page for Kelly on this new Blogger Beta and am starting to get the hang of this new version. I also successfully helped my Grandma, my brother and my sister get their blogs across in to Beta. So, now we're all over here (appart from Dad, but I don't know his details so can't sort his). I've also got most of the stuff on either this page or Kelly's page, I just need to get the fantasy character names and the names and meanings lists across and I'm all sorted. See, told ya I'm a fast learner, lol!

Anyway, mine and Kelly's blogs are still linked but since he's never posted on this one I've made it so we have our own blogs they are just linked and we are both admin on both pages, if that makes sense.

By the way, if you scroll down past this post you can see some screen shots from the wedding I went to this evening.

Tori

Sue And Nightmugg's Wedding

So, today was the long awaited (by the members of the Blood Nights anyway) wedding between Sue and Nightmugg and I thought I'd share the screen shots I took while on the game (the things that look like bolts of lightning, fireballs, etc are fireworks going off, btw).

OK, well, this first screen shot was taken right after the vows when Sue and Nightmugg turned to us all before we left the chapel. Don't they make a lovely couple?

Why is it that men always go for shorter women? LOL!

And this second screen shot was taken during the party that we all had in The Blue Recluse (I think I spelled that right) after the ceremony.

As you may have already figured out by the fact it's the central figure in both shots, the girl in the pink and white dress there is me (yes, the one standing by the table dancing in the second picture). Well, I had to wear a dress for my big sister's wedding, didn't I? LOL!

And, as you may also have figured out by now (and as you may remember if you were in the chat room in The Wolven when I told everyone. This was a wedding on World Of Warcraft not a real wedding. It was interesting though. The rehersal was SO boring, but the wedding itself was pretty cool. They couldn't have made it more realistic if they'd tried. LOL!

And, in case you were wondering.... I'm not really the bride's sister, I'm his - yes, I did say 'his' - daughter. LOL!

OK....

Well, the movie was called 'The War Of The Worlds' (it was the new version with Tom Cruise in it) and, yes, Chance did give me the remote... lol! And, yes, I did enjoy the movie. I just thought I'd post and let you know before I forget again. LOL!

Anyway, I'd hoped to stay up for Name That Tune, but there's still another two hours before it starts and I'm already struggling to stay awake, so, I'm going to bow out and go to bed, I think.

Tori

My blog of many colours

Well, as you can see I've been having fun with colours on our blog. I'm still pissed off about loosing those pages but I'm getting over it... lol!

Had a short storm this afternoon that cut the power for long enough so that it shut down my PC and the PC wasn't happy about it. Couldn't get it to start up... finally got it to start up and it wouldn't go online so I had to unplug my modem and then plug it back in so it would reset itself. Not a fun thing to have happen at any point but even worse was that it happened in the middle of my stream... not good!

Watching a movie later... I forgot what it's called though... but anyway it's this week's "Saturday Movie Showcase" (I think that's what they call it) on Sky Movies and it looks good so I want to watch it... if I can get the remote back of Chance that is, lol (look under his right front paw in the pic above). Anyway, after that I'm 'hoping' to stay up long enough to get to play 'Name That Tune' but it depends on how sleepy I get since I'm working on only 3 hours sleep today.

Anyway, thanks to those of you who have signed our guest book.

Tori

Stress level... big time high!

Well, my stress level has gone to a big time high this evening! Why? Because of blogger!

I tried - as I mentioned on my last night's post - to move my blog to Beta... well, now I wish I didn't, 'cause the only good thing that came of it is that Kerry can now post. Anyway, to cut a long story short, I lost most of my pages and honestly can't be bothered to re add them, so, I'm going to just work with this one blog page and the rest of them can go to hell for all I care!!!

If you want the World Of Warcraft character list go to Kelly's page and if you want the important dates list then scroll down... if you want to know anything about us then ask me 'cause I can't be bothered with it. I've been working for six months on these pages and then blogger messes about like that and I tried to find the pages and couldn't so now as far as I'm concerned the stuff can stay on here and the other pages can stay wherever the hell they vanished to!!!

I'll get all the links and important stuff on here over the weekend.

Tori

Friday, November 24, 2006

Hello, hello!

For anyone looking for the 'weekly weigh-in' results... scroll down past this post, and it'll be under the post for birthdays (which you might also want to read).

WOW! It's been almost a week... doesn't time fly? I've spent most of this week trying to get all my music on to the PC, which is why I've not been online. Finally got it done today! I also made up a couple of compilations for people. Unfortunately I neglected the internet so much that I had a couple of people thinking they'd upset me and I was ignoring them... sorry about that! I want to assure everyone though that nobody upset me I just got wrapped up in what I was doing and didn't do anything else.

I went to look for Ronan's new single in Woolworths and got in a big argument with the two girls behind the desk who called me a liar and said there wasn't one. And when I told them I had an e-mail from his site about a month ago they told me I didn't know what I was talking about. I would have just walked out, but I'd picked up Take That's new single 'Patience' and a Michael Ball Christmas CD and wanted them. The Take That one I could have gotten elsewhere but I hadn't seen the Michael Ball one anywhere else. Anyway, I was going to go in to Swansea and check (since Woolworths is the only place in Ammanford that does CDs new) but my Mam says she's going to Swansea tomorrow (Saturday) and that she'd check for me, so, I'll let her check and if she has no luck I'll go in myself and search every CD store until I get it. Even if I have to go to HMV and pay twice as much!!! I do have the song on his last album since it's just a single from that album, but that's not the point!!!

My Dad made me up some disks with mp3s on and I sorted through them and put what I like of them on my PC. Some I had and some I hated so I didn't bring any of them ones over, but there was some really good stuff on them. The only band I brought across that I don't really like is Rush and that's only because I promised Dad that if he listens in on my stream I'd play him a song or two and Rush is his favourite band. Plus, Kelly likes them and I guess maybe I should play the odd song of theirs for him too. LOL!

So, anyway, I found out that linked blogs can't be changed to Beta yet so I unjoined myself from all but this page then took Kelly off of this page and it then gave me the option to change this one over to Beta. I'm not entirely sure what the difference is but if everyone else is changing then I wanted to too! LOL! So then I had to get Kelly to invite me to join back on all the other pages and invite him to join back on this one so that it was all linked up again. That was fun... NOT!!! The other pages can wait until the Blogger team makes linked blogs able to go on to Beta though, I just thought this one was more important since Kerry was having trouble posting comments and I'm hoping it was just something silly like that because I wouldn't want Kerry thinking I don't want her posting on my blog or something.

I've got nearly all of my Christmas shopping done now. Just a few little bits to get and then I'm all done. How's yours going?

By the way... HAPPY THANKSGIVING AMERICA... for yesterday!

Tori

Getting up to date on birthdays

First of all, Tuesday - 21st November - would have been the 10th birthday of my Mam's Copper Cocker Spaniel, Tela Dawnshadow, so, wanted to mention that.

Secondly, a VERY HAPPY - though late - BIRTHDAY to my friend Maree for Tuesday November the 21st and to Kelly's sister Sherry for Wednesday November the 22nd.

Chance, Megan AND Sakura.... TOGETHER!!!

I was sat at the PC and Kelly says "QUICK get me your camera!" And this is why! Until we moved Chance was laying down too, but he just couldn't resist sitting up to get a better look at what we were doing. Still, it's all three cats together and not only that, it's also all three cats looking at the camera at the same time!!! Woohoo!!! And, I swear this is a totally unedited... not even resized... photo! In fact, I never even renamed it before I posted it!!!

Tori

NTT and stuff

Made it to Name That Tune last night (well, early hours of this morning to me) and got me a whole 30 points. And some of the songs I got without even needing to use Google! LOL! Pilem won though. For what is - I think - the third week in a row! Way To Go Pilem!!! Woohoooooo!!!!!!

Thought I was going to be talking to myself through my hour stream this afternoon. Normally when I get on there Kerry's there waiting and within a few minutes Mara (and one or two others) get there, but I was all on my little own for a good 15 - 20 minutes before anyone showed up! Then everyone started just piling in! LOL!

Getting there with getting my CDs on the PC and getting track listings made for the compilation ones. Can't wait until it's done though so I can just do new ones as I get them... much less work! LOL!

OK, I think that's all I wanted to say today.

WHY WHY WHY?????>

Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are going dead?

Why do banks charge a fee on "insufficient funds" when they know there is not enough money?

Why does someone believe you when you say there are four billion stars, but check when you say the paint is wet?

Why doesn't glue stick to the bottle?

Why do they use sterilized needles for death by lethal injection?

Why doesn't Tarzan have a beard?

Why does Superman stop bullets with his chest, but ducks when you throw a revolver at him?

Why do Kamikaze pilots wear helmets?

Whose idea was it to put an "S" in the word "Lisp"?

If people evolved from apes, why are there still apes?
(cos there are still men... duh!!!)

Why is it that no matter what colour bubble bath you use the bubbles are always white?

Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized?

Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give>the vacuum one more chance?

Why is it that no plastic bag will open from the end on your first try?

How do those dead bugs get into those enclosed light fixtures?

When we are in the supermarket and someone rams our ankle with a shopping cart then apologizes for doing so, why do we say, "It's all right?" Well, it isn't all right, so why don't we say, "That hurt, you stupid idiot?"

Why is it that whenever you attempt to catch something that's falling off the table you always manage to knock something else over?

In winter why do we try to keep the house as warm as it was in summer when we complained about the heat?

How come you never hear father-in-law jokes?

A Few Updates

WOW! aIt's Friday already!!! Where's the week gone? *looks around helplessly*

By the way, Grandma, this is Kero with one of those treats I was telling you about that I got for him and Willow. This isn't the same one this is one I got him a while back, but it's the same kind of treat and the same size treat. Doesn't he look happy with it?

Well, I was meant to be staying up to listen to Voodoo's stream Monday night (early Tuesday morning for me) but fell asleep about an hour before it was meant to start. Woke up then about 6:00 am, got showered and dressed and by then it was time to go to town to get weighed and do my weekly shop. But this week we went up to the city instead of just in to the town. So, Mam and I got weighed the same place we always do in town then we went back to her place to meet up with my Dad who was taking us to the city (2 hours by bus about 40 minutes by car... doesn't take a genius to figure out which one is the better option, does it? lol!)

While we were waiting for Dad I put RealPlayer on my Mam's PC and showed her how to listen to the streams. She doesn't want to come in the chat room, but I don't mind that. At least she is going to listen. She doesn't like my singing though. LOL! So, I told her I'd put it to a vote... if more people want to hear me sing than don't then I'll sing. Simple as that. So, Grandma, Kerry and anyone else who listens to the stream who reads this... want me to sing or not? Tell me in the comments bit on this, ok?

So, anyway, we went up to the city and I went in the big pet store that I don't get to go to often... £60 later I left the store. Could have spent more on them easily but my Mam was getting bored. And before you all gasp at the total. £5 of that was ona book and at least £10 of it was on Willow not my lot. Plus I got a couple of bits for Loppy and Mouse (Carl and Rachel's rabbits) and for little Jayde Bramblerose. And, Kero and Willow have their doggy advent callenders now.

Then we went to a few clothes shops and I got some new shoes and a fleece sweatshirt and my Mam got some new boots and a new coat. And we also went to somewhere to get wrapping paper because I had all these things to wrap and no paper to wrap them in. Unfortunately I forgot the labels so still can't get them wrapped... oops! After we did all that we finally got to the grocery store. Did a big shop so wont need to get much for the next couple of weeks.

Finally got home a little after 4:00 pm and had been home only five minutes when my Grqandma phoned me and told me poor little Jayde Bramblerose wasn't well. Grandma says she's doing better now but we were really worried about her. It seems she got herself so worked up about having her shot (which she had Monday) that she made herself ill. Poor little thing. At least she's on the mend now, eh?

Was sound asleep by 10:00 pm Tuesday night and didn't wake up until about 4:30 am.

I'd sent Carl an mp3 "Aselin Debison - Sweet Is The Melody" and he loved it and as he was on the PC early when I was Wednesday morning he asked if I had more of her songs and when I told him I had a whole album he wanted the whole album too. So, at 7:00 am Wednesday morning I was sending my brother all the songs off of Aselin Debison's album. LOL!

I was also talking to my Mam at the same time and then she suddenly went so I knew something was up with her. Turned out I was right. I don't don't want to go in to details on here, but my sister Elizabeth - who as most of you know is an honorar adopted sister, not biological sister - is going back to life with her biological mother and sister. It's a shame though, 'cause I've gotten quite fond of the kid. Yes, Grandma I am talking about Elizabeth. LOL! The good thing is though, now I should get more updates on Shireen. Anyway, she's going on about December 9th and on the 8th we're meeting up to give her a bit of a send off.

Speaking of stuff happening in early December, I'll be going out for a meal on Wednesday December 6th. Going to that nice Chinese resteraunt I like with the Welsh class. The class finished last June but they want to keep the dinners so we stay in touch. And I just like the resteraunt and will take any excuse to go back there. LOL! So, I wont be reachable that evening (unless it's an emergency and you really need me Grandma, in which case, I will have my cell phone with me).

Anyway... back to this week...

Wednesday I went out to play pool with Mam, Elizabeth, Wayne and a few friends. I won quite a few games. Admitedly they were all by default. But I still won. LOL! And I almost won most of them by myself but there was this one ball that just would not go in! Anyway, we had a pretty good evening. I took about £2 in with me (I only drink a can or two diet coke - which is 65p a can - when I go out and needed a couple of 20ps for the table). Anyway, I had my two cans of diet coke, had a good half a dozen games on the table, put some songs on the jukebox (which costs £1) and still left with £1. LOL!

OK, so I got home about 10:30 pm and was going to be staying up for Voodoo's stream (which was due to start 1:00 am my time) but bearly remember 11:00 pm arriving. And got up about 8:00 am (I think). LOL!

My new headset arrived Wednesday (like I said it would) and according to Kerry's blog Scotty's coat arrived Wednesday too (two days earlier than we'd thought). And he looks SO handsome in it too!!! And my blank CDs arrived yesterday (Thursday) so I backed up the mp3s Kerry had sent me and have been working on making up the albums that Kerry sent me. Got most of them made up but never finished.

Anyway, I think this essay is long enough... LMAO!!!

The mysterious package has been opened

Well, we all know what today is, so, I wont say it... lol! By the way, a big thank you to everyone who has said happy birthday to me either on here, on MSN or by phone.

I FINALLY got to open the mysterious package, which turned out to be a pretty gold box with a T-Shirt in it that said "dog think they're humans, cats think they're god" (see photo to the right) and I'll be wearing that tomorrow when I go to town for my weekly weigh in and shopping trip. So, thanks Grandma!

I also got a £10 cheque (thanks for that too Grandma), £35 cash, a little beanie teddy, Seasons 1 & 2 of Full House on DVD (I knew I was getting those from Kelly though, but still), some dog and cat earings, a kitten themed jigsaw puzzle, 9 birthday cards (there's another on it's way though, got a message telling me so last night) and a birthday e-card. I also got a text from Shireen's mother, Jackie, saying happy birthday from her and Shireen. Um... I think that's everything. LOL!

Before you ask what I'm spending my birthday money on... I'm not spending it on anything yet. I'm doing what I do every year and putting it aside until after Christmas so that anything I wanted that I don't get (like an mp3 player) I can buy myself. But, I don't want to spend the money on something that people have got me for Christmas and upset someone. So, that's why I wait.

Killing A Cushion

Took this Friday but only got around to getting it on the PC today. This cushion that Kero is quite happily destroying has been around for so long I don't even remember when we got it. It's now no longer with us however, as I turned around to see what Kero was playing with and the picture you see here was what I saw. Oops! Ah well, it was falling appart anyway! *shrugs helplessly and smiles reasuringly at Kero*

6 Weeks 2 Xmas Eve

I showed the people that live above me what real music is and how you can play it Friday night. LMAO! They got the hint and turned their music down around midnight. Much better than their usual 6:00 am. LOL!

By the way, the pink thing that Megan's snuggled up in is my robe... guess she likes it, eh? LOL! Megan's got nothing to do with today's topics, but I thought the photo was cute and wanted to use it today.

Anyway, Kero and I went and met up with Elizabeth, her boyfriend Chris and Willow at the park on Saturday afternoon before my stream. Kero and Willow behaved for a change. LOL! Actually, they aren't too bad when we are outside in a nice, big, open area. It's when they end up in a confined space together that we have problems. So, we've decided to give the idea of the whole family bring there for a sort of second Christmas on boxing day a miss. Which means that Kelly and I will be having a nice, quiet Christmas at home together with just the animals and each other. But we're both happy with that idea anyway.

Six weeks today will be Christmas eve. I don't even need a calendar to tell you that, because tomorrow is my birthday and my birthday is exactly six weeks before Christmas. So, now you know. LOL! So, if you haven't started thinkin about Christmas yet then it's about time you did, because it's getting really close now and I don't know about you, but I don't fancy shopping last minute in mid December. LOL!

I got a birthday e-card from the friend that I named Jayde Bramblerose (my Grandma's Yorkie) after. She goes by the nickname Jade, but her name isn't Jade really. Anyway, I've known her since just after I started going on the internet - about 7 years ago now - and not once has she ever forgotten my birthday. No matter what's happened through the year or how little we've spoken to each other through the year, she ALWAYS remembers my birthday e-card. And if she hasn't spoken to me much throughout the year - like this year - I get an update e-mail as well. And she picks out such beautiful e-cards too!

Well, I think that's everything I wanted to say today. LOL!

By the way... I just realised that I can't count... I was out a day on the amount of days to my birthday in those posts... oops... LOL!

Rememberence Day

Today being November 11th it is Rememberence Day both here in the UK and in many other countries (i.e. Canada and Australia). I had hoped to have a nice poppy picture or something to put in here but I haven't had a chance to sort that out. I had also hoped to write a poem for today, but haven't had a chance to sort that out either. Damn! At least we managed to get the 2 minute silence in on the stream. Admitedly it was late (even going by the time zone we were working with) but at least we did it. Most of us did anyway. I do, however, have this link for you to look at if you want more details about what Rememberence Day is or whaterver. So, go take a look at http://www.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/customs/Remembrance.html. Sorry it's not the best of links, but I got busy and when I went to do this post realised I had nothing to put in it so did a quick search and that's what I came up with.

Clothes, music and mysterious packages

As you can see, I managed to persuade Sakura to let me take a photo of her in the Shrek bandanna. She wasn't exactly happy about it, but at least she didn't start trying to tear my eye out or run away and hide... LOL!

I cheated on getting some new winter clothes on Wednesday. My Mam gets her winter clothes out and decides she doesn't like most of them so doesn't want them any more (an excuse to go shopping I think, lol) so, since I don't like shopping I go through them, get me some nice new clothes for nothing and without setting food in a clothes shop! Woohoo! So, everyone's happy and everyone's got new clothes for the colder weather. LOL! It's also cheaper that way... for me anyway... lol! And, hey, since my Mam NEVER wears anything more than two or three times before she's had enough of it the stuff is damn near brand new anyway! LOL!

Been working on getting music on the computer today so that we have a nice selection of music for my streams on the weekend. Of course, I wont even have half the CDs on there by the time it's time for the streams, but still! As long as I have a nice selection of tunes that doesn't matter, does it?

I got a mysterious package today... a box shaped thing with a purple card attatched to it... wonder who that's from? *looks at Grandma* Will have to wait until Monday to find out what's in this mysterious package though, wont I? LOL!

PC is here!!!

Well, we FINALLY have our new PCs!

Dad got me some really great speakers as an early birthday present to go with it too. He says that since I'm - as he put it - "doing a lot with sound" I "need a decent set of speakers"... decent? Holy cow! Decent is an understatement!!! We had the volume not even half way up and had to turn it down because we couldn't hear each other over it even though we - we being Kelly, Dad and myself - were stood right next to each other and damn near yelling! Kelly, of course, now wants speakers like I have. But for now he's got my old ones.

I had a coat made for Kerry's Westie, Scotty and it arrived literally within a couple of days of being ordered. It was ordered Sunday night and with me Wednesday morning. Even I was shocked at how quickly it arrived! Also, the Darren Hayes CD I ordered arrived today. And so did a birthday card (not the one from you Grandma). I know who it's from because of the sender info on it, but I'm being a good girl and haven't opened it yet.

D'you know what I'm doing right now? I'm multi tasking big time! I'm doing this blog, installing World Of Warcraft, reading e-mails and chatting on messenger. Man, if I tried doing that on the old PC it would have crashed by now! But this one isn't even going slow! You should have seen it zipping through the istallation of programs!!! I've only had it a few hours, and already I've got pretty much everything I had on the old one on it!!!

As you can see, I'm pleased with my new PC... LOL!

Weekly Weigh-in

Weight today: 15 stone 9 lbs (219 lbs)
Weight lost this week: 3 lbs
Weight lost so far: 8 lbs
Total weight lost so far: 2 stone 1 lb (29 lbs)

Shame the first 21 lbs doesn't count, or I'd have £20 coming to me! LOL! Oh, well... 6 lbs to go and I get my £10! Woohoo!

Kero & Chance are ready for winter... Are you???

As you can see from the photos in today's blog post, both my boys are ready for winter... got their Gryffindor scarves on and everything. Chance wasn't too impressed with the scarf... I think there was too much more scarf than cat and it scared him a bit... poor little guy! Kero, however, was perfectly happy to let me put a scarf on him. He was probably relieved that this time it was only the scarf and not that hat too. LOL!

It's so cold here that the cats kept themselves in last night. They all came home and weren't interested in going back out, so, we shut the window and kept it shut. Even when I took Kero out for a pee a few hours after we shut the window none of the cats wanted out. And Kero was in a big hurry to get back in too! Not that I'm complaining about that... LMAO!

Fell asleep real early in the evening and woke up about 11:30 pm and that was that for my sleep then. Still, I remembered Voodooman does a stream at midnight my time on a Monday night/Tuesday morning, so, I dropped in on that. I was 'sort of' there for the whole thing. But, a little way in to the stream my PC screen went blank. So, I'm thinking "stupid computer" again, but then I turn to Kelly and see his has died too. So, now I'm like what the...??? And it was at that point I realised that the light we'd had on was no longer on. My first thought was the electric ran out, but then I thought, no way, we had £40 on it when we checked the other day, we can't have gone through all that much!!! So, I go to check the box and Kelly looks out the window to see if the street lamps are on. They weren't. So, about the point I saw there was no light on the box so it's not that it's ran out of money it's a power cut, Kelly also realises it's a power cut (I know, real quick on the uptake, aren't we? lol). So, off we trot to bed in the dark (well, what else can you do in a power cut at night?) And after a bit the power comes back so we get back up and go on to appologise to the people we'd been in the middle of talking to (and in my case listening to as well). So, I got to listen to the rest of Voo's stream and then ShadowWolf started one up but I thought I should try for more sleep so said my goodnights and all that. Of course, I STILL wasn't sleepy, so, I went on to play World Of Warcraft for a bit hoping I'd get tired from that... I didn't!

Anyway, everything seems to have calmed down after the guild meeting. I wasn't on the game much today but got greeted as normal by the people still on when I got on, and Kelly was on earlier in the day and apparently they were talking about me, but he says there's not much to say except that they now know that the guild leader is my Dad and that his wife and my hubby are also guild members. Wish I'd been there for the conversation though, 'cause now I really want to know what they said about me. Still, if I'd been there, would there have been a conversation about me???

The new PCs have been ordered - Woohoo! I think Dad said we'll get them Thursday... late afternoon to early evening... so, that gives me Thursday night, all day Friday and Saturday morning to get all my stuff installed on it and get the playlists ready for Saturday and Sunday. Getting MusicMatch, Real Player and Real Producer back on it wont be a big deal, neither will getting my photos and music back on it, it's just sometimes the stuff takes forever to install. Plus, the new PC will have Windows XP on it and I've not used that much before... never really liked it... gotta have it though nowadays, don't you? I don't remember all the PCs specs, but I know it's got 1 Gig of RAM, a 3 Gig processor and a 160 Gig hard drive - compared to the 256 MB or Ram, 1 Gig (if that) processor and 30 Gig hard drive this one has! And Dad says we're having black cases with a nice, easy to see, silver power button. I don't remember anything else about the new PCs though. LOL!

My Mam didn't come down last night. She usually does on a Monday evening, but I told her not to because we were both tired and would just end up moaning and snapping at each other all evening otherwise.

Ended up taking a trip down memory lane yesterday. All Kerry's fault! lol! I read on her blog that it was the two year anniversary of when she got Scotty and it made me think of when I got Kero. He was SO TINY!!! And also... so clean!!! LOL! I drove everyone mad leading up to when I was getting him. I did count downs to the times I'd see him and then when I was waiting for the day to come when he'd come home, I did a count down to that too. I was SO excited about getting him. And, as Kerry said, I can't remember what I did without him. And I don't know what I'd do without him now!

Well, anyways, today is shopping and weigh day, so, I'm off to write a shopping list and get showered and dressed and all that so that I can get in to town for the time I'm meant to meet my Mam.

P.S. only 6 days to go til my birthday!!!

A birthday I missed on November 6th

Our friend Jo's son Tony had a birthday yesterday and I totally forgot to announce it! Oops! I doubt he even knows I have this blog, let alone reads it, but still... belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you Tony either way!

Streams & Blood Knights

Look at that sweet, innocent little face... to think, this time yesterday the little brat had me worried sick!!!

Anyway, on to my real reason for blogging right now...

Had a great time with the streams today, but did kinga miss not having my Grandma there... was too quiet without her... LOL! But she was too busy enjoying herself to be with us! *evil grin*

Had a bad guild meeting last night though... walked out of it... nobody was listening to anyone else and I got fed up of it. We spent about an hour and a half 'discussing' (if you can call it that) one thing and it still never got resolved because nobody would pay attention to the other members of the guild. My Mam got fed up and left after a little under an hour... closely followed by Wayne... and about half an hour later Kelly and I had put up with all we could so we left too. I knew if I stayed I'd say something I'd regret so leaving was the best option. Then I went straight and put a carefully worded message on the forums pointing out hos discusted I was with the way the members behaved. I damn near left the guild! Didn't leave though, and things seem to have calmed down, so, that's good. Dad told me the meeting broke up not long after Kelly and I left but that stuff still didn't get sorted. So, the stuff got put on the forum and people can just get their asses to that and read it instead. Didn't get to the promotions either though, 'cause that's normally done after everything else is sorted, but apparently that's going to just be sorted out of the meeting and people can just look at their ranks or whatever. *shrugs helplessly*

And, I don't care if any of the guild read this and isn't happy about me posting on here too. For one thing it's my damn blog and I'll post whatever the hell I want! For another thing, if they weren't so bloody childish and if they were a little more greatful for all the work that their guild leader (my Dad) puts in to the guild then I wouldn't be so pissed off and needing to post, would I? And I'm not sticking up for my Dad just 'cause he's my Dad because I don't do that. And, even if I did, Grandma will tell you how much time Dad spends sorting stuff out on his PC so she'll tell you he genuinely does spend a lot of time working on stuff for his clubs and guilds. And the members of those clubs and guilds should be a little more greatful for it.

That's it for now... I'll get off my soapbox now and go and to try again with the whole sleep thing... lol!

"Remember, remember, the 5th of November - gun powder treason and plot - I see no reason, why gun powder treason, should ever be forgot!"

So, here it is, Guy Fawks day here in the UK.

Most of the firework displays are over with now though, of course, since people tend to do them the nearest Friday or Saturday to it. But still.

For those who don't know, the basic story behind Guy Fawks day is that - a long time ago - a man named Guy Fawks decided he was going to try and blow up the houses of parlament and was burned for it. So, every year, on November 5th we celebrate that he didn't succeed by setting off fireworks and - in some cases - making a stuffed 'Guy' out of old rags and stuff like that and chucking him on a bomfire. I wonder if it really happened on November 5th?

Anyway, the photo for today is one I took of an actual firework exploding when Kero and I went out to watch one of the displays near here last night. Took it special to post on here for you.

Megan and Chance gave me a scare last night. I like to keep the cats indoors when there are fireworks but Megan and Chance got out. Anyway, after a couple of hours Megan came home but I never saw Chance. Turned out he must have snuck in undetected 'cause this morning he came out of the spare room to greet us and you could tell he'd been in a while 'cause he was warm. So, I'm glad that the big displays are over for another year and all my babies are safe.

NTT - Saturday 4th November 2006

Well, I made it to NTT (Name That Tune) again this week and got 30 points! YAY ME!!! And - appart from Google (which everyone seems to be using anyway, lol) - I had no help from anyone or anything this time since Kelly was already asleep before the game started! LOL!

Voodooman, of course, won the game! Figures! LOL!

Seriously though... congrats voo... again!

Kero on a Fall/Autumn stroll

Here are the rest of the photos I took when Kero and I went for that walk back in October. I had hoped to post these yesterday but I didn't get the time to post them. So, I guess you can have these ones today instead. lol!

As you can see, Kero had a great time... but then, he usually does since he absolutely LOVES to be outside. Doesn't he look nice and warm in his coat? He's been wearing his coat for almost all his walks lately since it's been so damn cold here!

And in case you are wondering about him not being on a leash... it is perfectly safe for him there - especially since he doesn't go right to the water as he hates water - my Grandma will vouch for the fact it is safe for the dogs to run free where we walk.

As you can see from how full the river is in all these photos, we had a LOT of rain before this day. But then, we always have a LOT of rain in Wales, so that's no big surprise. Funily enough though - despite how high up the bank the water level often gets - we have yet to find the path flooded.

We always make the most of dry days to walk along this little "riverside walk" (which is what it is actually known as around here, by the way) I just don't always take my camera with me.

If I'm feeling energetic, I even run a bit with Kero along here (what? I said a bit! lol!)

More Fall/Autumn Themed Photos

Here are some more Autumn/Fall themed photos from around where I live.

As you can see, most of the photos I take are centered around the river where Kero and I take most of our walks.

There is a park we go to as well, but I enjoy the scenery by the river more to be honest.

Enjoy!

Fall/Autumn Scenery Photos

Here are some photos of the scenery here where I live. They were taken when I went for that walk with Kero back in October. So, the Autumn (or Fall if you prefer) colours were just starting to come in.

Don't you just love the colours this time of year?

If you click on them you can get bigger versions of the photos so you can see them more clearly.

Isn't it funny how just one little sentence can change everything?

Sometimes even just one little word can change everything in your life. Like when you propose to someone their one word answer can change your life in a different way depending on whether it's "yes" or "no". Or when someone phones you and they say something like "I've got some bad news for you!" When you hear that sentence you know something in your life - or at the very least, the life of a family member or friend - is changing for the worse and your mind is flooded with about a thousand possible disasters which could be the reason for that one little sentence. And even if the event doesn't directly affect you, the affects it has on others around you can be enough to affect your life that way.

I had that sentence said to me today by my Grandma. She phoned me up in hell of a state and said that dreaded sentence. My first thought was of little Jayde Bramblerose... had something happened to Jayde? I didn't get further than that though... my mind went numb and I bearly managed to ask what it was... dreading the reply. It wasn't about Jayde though... Thankfully!

However, I'm sorry to report that my Great Uncle Ray - who recently celebrated both his 63rd birthday and his 42nd wedding anniversary - died this morning. I know that he will be missed VERY much. Especially by my Great Aunt Lizzie, who was as devoted to him as a wife could ever be to her husband.

I'm afraid that I can't say any more than that about him as I have to admit that I bearly knew him. But regardless of this I still felt the need to post a message for him to let Auntie Lizzie know that our thoughts and prayers - as well as our deepest sympathies - are with her at this time of sadness and loss.

What Christmas Carol Are You?

Your Christmas Song Is

Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer

Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer
Had a very shiny nose.
And if you ever saw him,
You would even say it glows.

For you, Christmas is a mix of tradition and fun.
You're not above strapping on a red blinking nose for a laugh

West Highland White Wizard

So, here it is... November the 1st... can you believe it? November already!!!

I'd hoped to post this photo yesterday but since it was only taken yesterday I didn't get a chance to get it on to the PC in time. Here it is now though. Doesn't my West Highland White wizard look adorable?

We had a couple of kids come to the door last night and I felt real mean 'cause I had to ignore them since about five seconds before the first kids knocked on the door I realised that in my attempt to keep myself from eating candy I had neglected to get any for the kiddies. Damn! I have ALWAYS had candy available for the kids. I usually get the Halloween themed candies that are in shapes of skeletons and eyeballs and stuff for them. But, like I said, this year I was so busy not getting myself any treats that I never got any for the kiddies either. I felt so rotten for it too.

Kero wasn't too happy that people were knocking on the door and I wasn't answering it. He spent most of the evening barking and whining. Poor baby was probably really confused.

Now, here's a photo I never thought I'd be sharing. Yes, that is miss stressy paws herself (Sakura) cuddled with Chance!!! The same stressy cat who gave me attitude - big time - when Chance joined our family (not even 6 months ago). And here she is now cuddling up with him! I can't tell you how happy that sight made me! They were asleep, but when I moved to take the photo they woke up and, as you can see, weren't too happy about being woken up.

Kelly and I had a lovely time in town together. We almost never go together because usually I go with my Mam or he's going instead of me 'cause I'm sick. But yesterday we decided to both go - since my Mam was away - so we arranged for my brother, Wayne, to have Kero for us and off we went. We had lunch out. I had a tuna baguette (equivalent of a six inch tuna sub from SubWay) and he had a piece of pizza. What we wanted came form different bakeries but we decided since it was a nice day we would get exactly what we wanted and sit on the bench in the middle of town to eat... like a little picnic! Anyway, it was lovely. And then we got a cab home and it turned out that the cab driver's step mother was Canadian (from Montreal). Don't ask how that came about though 'cause I'm not entirely sure how the conversation started we just ended up discussing it. And when we got home I was informed that Kero was a little angel and hadn't even whimpered... for a change!

Unfortunately though, the day was spoiled a bit by the fact we had a letter waiting for us when we got home yesterday from my housing association about the junk in the 'garbage area' and the fact that it's 'apparently' all ours. As you can probably guess I was NOT amused. Yes, a lot of it is ours, but not all of it. And even if it was, what the hell are we paying the 'groundsmen' for? I was under the impression that the £5 a week extra on my rent was for "cleaning, maintenance and garbage removal" in both "the property and surrounding area". So, doesn't that mean that the £5 a week should cover removal of all that garbage? Anyway, I was told I had to "arrange removal of the items within 7 days" so to shut them up I called the council for this area and arranged for the items that are to do with us to be removed (it's costing me £10 to do this mind you) and Kelly went out there with rubber gloves and bagged up all the beer cans and other crap that wasn't ours but was small enough to be bagged up. I'm not impressed at us having to do it though, but I know from experience that complaining to the association only causes more hastle and I could do without it. So, I took the easy option and just did as I was asked. There are a few bits not going on Wednesday (I did say the stuff's going Wednesday, right?) but the bits not going are still in the house so I'll just keep them in here until another time. The thing is, they are only allowed to take a certain amount of items per visit.

I got Zararose - my Character on the realm we are concentrating on at the moment on World Of Warcraft - up to level 21 last night though and that was great. Kelly got Aerlwyn - his main character on the same realm - up to 31 last night as well. His Aerlwyn on another realm is already 60 (the top level at the moment) and I think he's trying to get this one up there as quick as he can too. He's off to a good start isn't he? lol!

Well, Kero is going nuts at me trying to get me to take him out, so, I better get my butt in gear and take him.

What Color Flower Are You?

You Are a Red Flower

A red flower tends to represent power, seduction, and desire.
At times, you are loving like a red tulip.
And at other times, you're very enthusiastic, like a bouvardia.
And more than you wish, your passion is a bit overwhelming, like a red rose.
