Random question: Wintery evenings

What's your favourite way to spend a cold, Wintery evening? Do you, for example, like to curl up with a mug of hot cocoa, a warm blanket, and a good book? Or, maybe you like to curl up on the sofa and watch TV? Or, maybe you know a better way to spend a cold evening?

I like to get my flannel jammies on, make a big pot of soup and bread for dinner, and play scrabble.

The best way is to have someone to cuddle with to keep you warm. Lacking that, a nice fire in the fireplace, a warm blankie, and a good book work for me.

Warm jammies, fuzzy slippers, a nice movie and a steaming cuppa cocoa.....

Sometimes - I even enjoy going outside and playing in the snow - but in recent years that has meant shoveling the stuff and not building snowmen.

But even just standing there and letting the snow fall on me with the Christmas lights...

We have a huge open log fire in this tiny house, we dont really need it for warmth cos of the central heating BUT its nice to turn the radiators off in the winter evenings and light the fire :) - chestnuts and marshmallows and if Im on me own then a girlie/romantic, makes ya cry film :) - or I love to be in me kitchen baking and making things in the winter months more so then the summer...... me kitchen is the hub of this little house.... I have a 10 ft wrap round 120 year old church pew with the orginal church table in me kitchen with a candlabra hanging above, it makes for a great place for friends to come and sit and chat while I cook.... I LOVE homemade soup and only today I have homemade Egyption lentil thick soup for me lunch.....

oh, and dont laff, Ive just this past year rediscovered my passion for knitting...... I use to have a little designer knitwear thing going years ago, all handmade beautiful creations in pure wools and cottons.... dont laff LOL its the only thing my mum ever gave me 'she taught me to knit' from very small, and I can do everything under the sun with me needles LOL...... and DONT YOU DARE call me a old granny LOL..

Curled up on the couch in front of the wood stove with a good novel is my idea of the way to spend a wintery evening.

I can knit... Well, kind of. I've never been all that good, but it's more from lack of interest than anything. I did used to knit blankets, scarves and hats and stuff for my dolls when I was about 9 or 10 though. My Nan taught me. Like I said, I never bothered to get good at it though. But if push came to shove I could knit a wooly jumper or a nice warm blanket.

Celtic:
LOL! ;)
