Snowy photos from December

I took these photos a couple of days before Christmas. This is basically the snow we had over Christmas... It was a couple of days after Christmas when the snow started melting.

These next photos were taken on the Winter Solstice/Yule, after we scattered food all over the snowy garden for the wild birds. They seemed to enjoy the food we put out for them.

It looks like you got a lot of snow over there before Christmas. Do you have much left or is it slowly going away?

I bet those birds were happy to have the seed to eat. :)

Hope you're having a good Monday.

I'll bet those little birdies totally loved you for that seed!

I halfway expected to see white Kero hiding somewhere in that white stuff.

Thanks for the share Tori.

I looked and looked for Kero "out there" in the snow... Is that little black spot his nose? Hmm... no... I don't think so... Maybe the birdies scared him away? No... I don't think so...

Do you still have snow on the ground there?

The snow disappeared around new years, and it's not come back... Lots and lots of rain though.

Kero was out there when the non-bird photos were taken, but he was moving about so much I missed getting him in the shots. He wasn't out there when the birds were having their food though... Kero doesn't like the birds being down on the ground, so we thought it was safer for the birds - not to mention easier for them when it came to getting to the food - if Kero wasn't out there with them.

A lot of people would say you had the absolute perfect snow this winter. Snow before Christmas and all gone by New Years never to return--hehe! ;)

I bet the birds really did appreciate somebody giving them a little something to eat. It gets really hard for them to find food during the winter--especially if they're not used to all that snow. They need more fuel when it is colder, too, for their tiny little bodies. Not that Kero cares--ROFL!! :):)

Hope you're sleeping better. :)

I don't know about, "never to return," because if our weather follows its usual pattern then we'll probably get more snow in February or March.

Yeah, I'm sleeping some... Not at the times I would like to be, because I'm sleeping when I should be up, and up when I should be sleeping. Buut at least I'm sleeping, and that's what matters, right?

Me, too! My days and nights are flipped again. *sigh* But at least I am sleeping. :)

Problem is though... When you're sleeping in the day, you don't usually get enough sleep, because people who actually are lucky enough to sleep at night wake you up. So I'm sleeping, but not enough. At first I was so relieved I didn't care, but now I'm at a point where I'm thinking, "please... Just one good night of sleep!"

I'm lucky. I don't get many interruptions. Karma is glad to sleep when I sleep and it is waaaaay to cold for kids to be playing down there outside my window--hehe! ;)

Kero loves nap time too. It's neighbours who don't seem to think naps should be allowed. :(
