In my world recently

There hasn't been much going on in my world recently. Not much worth blogging about anyway. I mean, there are the changes I've made to the things I eat - most of which have happened over the past couple of months, though some happened near the start of the year - but you don't want to hear about that, do you?

There have also been shopping trips, but I wont bore you with the details of those. So, let's see...

Last Wednesday, Mam and Chelsea (Jane's eldest grandaughter) showed up shortly before dinner time and announced that they were going to McDonalds. They asked if I wanted to go with them, and I figured I might as well. After all, I wasn't doing anything at the time. So the three of us went to McDonalds, then I came home and Chelsea went and spent the evening with Mam. Chelsea got a free tchild's ticket to go and see the 3rd Ice Age film, which is at the pictures right now (the ticket was in her Happy Meal) so Mam and I might be taking her to see it soon. She does want to go, and Mam and I would like to see it. The ticket has to be used before the end of the month though. I suggested we go next week, but no plans have been made as yet. I don't really mind when we go, but I hope we do go. I'd like to watch that film, since I really enjoyed the first two.

I've been listening to Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events book series while working on my crafts. I've both read and heard it before, but I enjoy it, so figured I'd listen again. I'm already part way through book twelve... The Penultimate Peril. Which, as its name suggests, is the next to last book in the series. There are 13 books in the set. I reviewed each one as I read it before, so if you aren't familiar with the story then just search for "Lemony Snicket" in that search box thing up the top of the page there, and I'm sure it will bring up the reviews (along with the author's biography, and any other mentions of Lemony Snicket on my blog).

I wont update you on craft progress, because I'll be doing that in a couple of weeks anyway. Can you believe we're already almost half way through August? Seems like only yesterday I was being all shocked about us being in July, and now it's almost the middle of August! I swear someone's put the planet on fast forward or something... Where's the button to slow it back down? Does anyone know? Or, perhaps a pause button? Then we can all stop and catch our breath for a moment or two.

Anyway, I think that's about it. See, I told you not much had been going on. Mind you, with the world on fast forward there isn't really time for much to happen, is there? Maybe it will slow down enough for something of interest to happen soon? If it does, I'll be sure to let you know. In the meantime though... Stay safe, and all that other stuff that means I hope you're happy and healthy.

Enjoy whatever's left of your day! :)

20 things (FD)

Cate recently did this meme thing on her blog (and a few others I know might have too... It's hard to keep track of who's actually done which memes sometimes). So, I figured I'd do it, since I don't have anything better to post about today. Well, I do, but I haven't gotten around to sorting those posts out yet, so I'll post them another day. ;)

If you want to play, feel free to do so. Otherwise, don't play. Simple as that!

1. I don’t really think I can manage _______________ today.

I don't really think I can manage to do anything that takes much energy today.

2. What did you have for breakfast this morning?

Some blueberries and some marmalade on toast

3. Share some recent good news.

Good news? Erm... About the only thing I can think of isn't exactly about me, but it is good news. Carl (my brother) and his wife (Rachel) have finally - after several years of being on a waiting list - got a new house. They're moving in on August 15th.

4. What was the last movie you saw? What did you think of it?

Harry Potter movie 6... Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince. It was pretty good, but not as good as the book version. Still, a good movie in its own right, I guess.

5. If you had to, could you do commentary for a sporting event?

I could, but I don't want to, because I can think of plenty of things to do with my time that will be a lot more fun.

6. What makes you feel better when you're sick?

Sleep generally does the trick. Just leave me alone for a few days, and don't wake me up, and most of the time I'll be fine. Failing that, cuddling up with a blanket and a cup of tea, watching/listening to something I enjoy, and being brought a present of my favourite treats will do it.

7. What do you listen to in the car?

Whatever music my Mam has playing. It's her car, after all, so it's only fair she gets to choose the music. I will tell her if they're rubbish though, but most of the time she has taste.

8. What were the last five foods you ate?

A jam sandwich, marmalade on toast, blueberries, a yoghurt, and a baked potato with cheese and beans.

9. Who was your first prom date?

I didn't go to a prom. Mind you, none of the guys in my school would have been worth taking. They were all imature idiots. So I don't really feel I missed out on anything there.

10. What was your first grade teacher's name?

If first grade is the year I think it is in schooling then it was, Mrs Evans. She was also the headmistress of the school I was in at the time. She was a really nice teacher, and made a great headmistress.

11. How many weddings have you been in?

Three if you count my own. I was a bridesmaid for my Mam and Dad (they took their time getting married, so I was eight when it happened), then there was my own, then I was one of the witnesses for my brother (Carl)'s wedding last year. All other weddings I've been to I've only been a guest in.

12. Who is on your "List"?

I don't have a list. At least, not the kind this question seems to refer to judging by Cate's response.

13. I love you more than _____________.

Not sure who this is refering to, but I love most things more than beetroot/beets, so let's go with that.

14. Oranges or grapefruit?

Oranges... Grapefruit tastes awful!

15. What is the earliest memory you have of your first day of school?

I think it's the time - at the start of my first full day at school - when I told my Mam I couldn't go to school because she'd be lonely without me, and ran after her when her friend took her away, and the teacher had to physically carry me back inside the school. But it could be that I've been told about it so many times I only think I remember it.

16. Would you ever choose money over love?

No. I'd rather be poor than marry some jerk just because he's got a ton of money.

17. Four people who e-mail me regularly:

Iggy, Amazon.co.uk, and Cate and Styxie

18. What were your favorite books as a child?

Pretty much any, especially if they involved animals. I was particularly fond of Roald Dahl and Enid Blyton's books. But I'd read pretty much anything. Still will. I love books!

19. Never in my life:

Have I: gone on safari, written a best selling novel, gone sledding on real snow, or built a house from scratch.

20. Ever been given an engagement ring?

Twice. I only married the second guy who gave me one though.

Random question: could you give it up? (FD)

Think about the thing you're most addicted to. It could be a food item, a spacific drink, or a certain activity. It doesn't matter what it is... Blogging, chocolate, smoking, shopping, a certain type of biscuit, marmite, a certain flavour of juice... Like I said, it doesn't matter what you pick. Now tell me... Could you give it up if you had to? And - if you could - what do you think it would take to make that possible? If you don't think you could, why is that?

Folly Farm: Part 6 - Donkeys & gift shops

It seems we did have a photo of the donkeys after all. So, meet Dillis the donkey, and her son, Donald the donkey. I'm told the photo is kind of blurry... Sorry about that. But, at least there is a donkey photo. :)

That photo is the reason I've made a sixth post about our trip to Folly Farm. I didn't want to put Dillis and Donald in the post I did yesterday about the fair, they didn't belong in the goat post, and the photo was only discovered after Wednesday's post had already been published. Yes, I could have gone in and added their photo, and then edited the bit of text about them. But I couldn't be bothered to fiddle (partly because it's so easy to lose bits of posts when you do that). So I decided to just do a sixth post, and post Dillis and Donald the donkeys in with the information about the very last place we visited before leaving Folly Farm... The gift shop.

We stopped at the gift shop on the way out. We both ended up getting teddies, since the t-shirts were only child sized, and most of what they had was teddies, stationary, or some little rather well detailed plastic animals, which - after my comment with the first one I picked up - Mam decided we weren't going to investigate any more. LOL! But I couldn't help it. I've never seen a little plastic horse with... Erm... Enough detail to tell it's meant to be male. So I commented on it. Not my fault Mam (and probably some other people in the shop) found this embarrassing. I was just pointing out that it was obvious it was male, and Mam asked how I knew, so I told her, and showed her. Is it my fault she didn't like my response? ;)

Anyway, this is what I ended up getting...

So, that was our trip to Folly Farm. It was a fun trip!

Tori

P.S. If you haven't already seen it, Mam did a post yesterday (Saturday) with the photos in it that I managed to get of her in the indoor funfair. So, if you haven't seen it you might want to go look.

Folly Farm: Part 5 - Funfair

Time for the next part of our trip to Folly Farm at the end of July.

This part isn't animal related, because it's all about the fair. Yes, that's right. There was a funfair there too! It was one of those indoor funfairs, and you needed to get tokens from a special machine to be able to play the games and go on the rides. This was one of the tokens.

Most of this section was more enjoyable to Mam than me, but you can read her blog to find out about that. I'm just going to deal with what I played on. Firstly this car thing. I was only just small enough to go in it, and getting back out was kinda interesting. But, hey, it was fun. :)

But my absolute favourite part of this section was something I hadn't been able to ride on since I was little. Something I absolutely love, but which most fairs over here only provide small versions of for little kids, meaning that - because I've never been the lightest of people - I've not been allowed to ride since I was about ten or so. I'm talking about a merry go round. So, I'm sure I don't need to tell you how thrilled I was to find one I was allowed to ride.

Mam didn't ride with me, because it went round really fast, and she was worried she'd get too dizzy and end up sick or something. That's one of the benifits of not having sight... Going round in circles really fast doesn't make you dizzy like it does for people with sight. ;)

Tomorrow (Sunday) there will be one last post about our trip to Folly Farm. Originally I planned just five posts, but it will be six posts instead. You'll see why when you read tomorrow's post.

Kero's Korner: Cubby's day out

Hi humans.

It's Kero here. And I'm finally going to share the photos and details from my day out on the last Saturday in July.

Mami had been telling me for a few days that I was going somewhere on Saturday.I was quite exited about this, because I knew it had to be somewhere good if I was being told in advance. If it was just normal walkies I wouldn't get told until the last minute. So when the day finally arrived, and Mami told me Mamgu was on her way to pick us up, I was the first one to be ready.

Of course, I had to go back for my harness and lead, but that's not my fault.

Anyway, first of all I had a ride in the car...

I thought at first we were going to visit Willow, but we only stopped at Mamgu's house long enough to drop Dadi off with his boxes of things I'm not allowed to sniff, because they're sharp and will hurt me.

I had to stay in the car for a long time. Not because we went far away, but because we stopped by a house and some people came out and talked with Mami and Mamgu for a long time. Then two human pups I've never seen before got in the car beside me, and off we went.

By this time I was starting to think I'd been giped, and that I was just going for a car ride to places the humans wanted to go. But it turned out I was wrong, and the humans not only realised we were near the big park where Mami and I used to walk lots, but they planned on taking me there. Either that, or they actually listened to me when I pointed the entrance to it out on our way past. I'm not sure which, and it doesn't matter. What matters is, they took me to the big park!

One of the human pups was walking me, but I didn't mind. I don't really care who walks me as long as we get to go, go, go! After all, you don't go to the big park to stand around, you go for long walkies, and sometimes picnics.

I was feeling a bit shy though.

And they didn't even let me get my fur right before they took my photo.

It was a fun outing, and after it was over I had a long nap while Mami and Mamgu made a huge mess in the kitchen.

Licks and sniffs,
Kero

Folly Farm: Part 4 - Greedy goats

And it's not just me calling them that, they actually did refer to the goats as their greedy goats. LOL!

They had about two different types of goats. I'm not sure what one type was, but the other type were Pygmy goats. My Mam had Pygmy goats before. Well, technically her Dad did, but she did live there too. ;)

They had some baby goats thatwere being bottle fed. The kids (both the goat kids, and the human kids) absolutely loved this. I'd have liked to have bottle fed a baby goat too, but there were loads more human kids than goat kids, so I let the little ones have the fun, and just settled for petting the goats. I mean, I have fed baby goats before (and I fed a lamb before too) and many of those children may not have even seen a goat before, let alone fed one. And I didn't want to be the reason that one of them missed out on what might have been their first - perhaps only - chance to bottle feed a baby goat. If there hadn't been so many eager little ones wanting to bottle feed the goats, then I'd have been more than happy to take my turn at bottle feeding one of the little goat kids. That was the only thing I was kinda disappointed about... Not getting to bottle feed a goat. But, like I said, I didn't want to deprive a little child of the oppertunity, especially when I had actually done it before. I think on two separate occasions.

You can see in that photo how much everyone loved the baby goat feeding.

Baby animals are always popular though.

This next photo was meant to have been me petting one of the slightly larger goats. However, the goat decided I had a tasty looking jacket, so I was actually pulling away to try and get my jacket out of the goat's mouth when it was taken instead. LOL!

Mam was just laughing about it, and telling me she'd meant to get a photo of me petting the goat, when she realised the goat - having been deprived of snacking on my jacket - was attempting to eat hers. It apparently liked the idea of eating the little Winnie The Pooh thing she has on the zip of her jacket, because it took a bit longer to persuade it to let go of hers than it had to persuade it to let go of mine. LOL! Silly goat! Mind you, goats will eat pretty much anything anyway... Grandad apparently lost a fair bit of money to his goats while passing it to people a little too close to the fence of the goat field. LOL!

So, that was the ggoats.

Tomorrow is Friday, so it's Kero's post tomorrow, but on Saturday there will be another post from our trip to Folly Farm. :)

Folly Farm: Part 3 - Various animals

There were, of course, other animals other than pets at Folly Farm.

There were chipmunks, and other animals simular to them (most of which weren't in any mood to come out and have their photos taken). Those ones, of course, had signs on their pens and cages saying things like, "if you put your fingers in my cage, I'll probably bite you," on them.

And, of course, horses. Most, if not all, were Shetland Ponies. There was a tiny little baby one, but It doesn't seem like the photo of that one came out. Most of the foals were actually yearlings (born last year). Other than the tiny foal whose photo didn't come out, the youngest of them was born around this time last year.

There were donkeys too. Their photos don't seem to have come out either though. There was a female donkey called "Dillis" and her son "Donald" who was about six months old (the sign said he was born in January of this year). Like I said though, those photos don't seem to have come out.

There were also a couple of different kinds of pigs. Most of them didn't seem to have the energy to do anything. Although, there was one pig - who we didn't get a photo of - who had a LOT to say for himself. We didn't get his photo, because a lot of people were interested in him (since he was doing something other than eating or sleeping) so we couldn't really get near him. We did get a couple of pig photos though. The one of the tired pigs above, and this next one.

They didn't seem to have any sheep, nor any cows. Well, no real cows anyway. They did have this cow...

They used to have cows and sheep there, but I'm thinking they don't any more because of all the trouble with foot and mouth and such in these past years. I don't know for sure that this is the reason, but that's what I think it could be. Either that or the cows and sheep are now too big to be petted by kids, so they're over in a nearby field or something. I honestly don't know. I just know that the only cows were that fake one you can practice milking, and some toy ones in the gift shop. And the only sheep we saw were either made of plastic, or were cuddly toys.

Tune in tomorrow for part four! :)

Folly Farm: Part 2 - Feathered friends

The second part of our trip involves our feathered friends. Birds, birds, and more birds!

Some of you will probably recognise the bird in the above photo, since it's the exact same type as the bulk of the birds we get in our garden... In other words, it's a House Sparrow.

I'm not too sure what that one is. There were several types of birds, most of them next to impossible to get shots of due to how dark the places they were roosting in were, and - in the case of the Barn Owl - the fact they were nocturnal. I know there were Eagle Owls, Lovebirds, Budgies, a Barn Owl, a Parrot, some chickens, and several others I don't remember. The photo above will either be one of the types I can't remember, or either the Eagle Owls or Lovebirds. I'm not sure.

I'm sure everyone knows what those are. *Points to above photo*

And this parrot was an African Grey.

Awww... Look at the little chicks!

This next one made me think of MarmiteTosty and her chickens.

Like I said, there were others, but they were up on the highest perches in the avery, so it was really dark where they were, and it made getting photos extremely difficult. Before anyone asks how I know that... Mam told me. Also, a lot of the animals seemed to be ready for naps, and we didn't really want a load of animal butt photos, so we both agreed not to try for those ones. LOL!

Part three will be posted tomorrow. :)

Folly Farm: Part 1 - Pets corner

Some of you may remember that - back in April - we planned to go to Folly Farm, but never ended up going. Well, we went on Thursday. Yep, that was the outing I hinted about a little over a week ago. ;)

First place we went when we got there was to the "pets corner" section.

There was some kind of lizard thing there, but I wasn't interested in it, what with not being a fan of reptiles, and Mam wasn't sure she could get a photo of it anyway, because of the kind of cage it was in. She did, however, manage to get a photo of the tortoise that was there

There were also several different kinds of rabbits. They were really hard to get photos of, because most of the animals seemed to have been given food and be ready for naps. But we did get this one.

I'm not sure which one it was. I don't remember all the types of rabbits that were there. I know there was a Rex, a Lionhead, a Lop x, and at least one other breed. They did also have their names listed, but I don't remember most of them. I'm sure the Lop X was called "Gabriel" though.

They also had guinea pigs. Just like this one.

There was also at least one chinchilla, but all we could see of it was it's butt, so we didn't bother trying to get a photo of it. After all, I'm sure there are nicer things to look at than a chinchilla's backside. LOL!

But my favourite was a rat named "Delilah" that I got to hold.

And who seemed to like sitting on my shoulder.

I love rats, and the only reason I don't have a pet one myself is that neither Kelly nor my Mam like rats, so neither of them will let me have one. It's a shame, because - despite what many people think - rats are generally very clean animals, and they are also very intelligent animals.

Anyway, those were the main points of the pet area, and - too keep the posts from getting too long - I'm seporating the trip in to a few posts, so you'll have to wait until tomorrow for the next part.

Gardener Kelly

When we got our new lawnmower at the end of June I was asked to get a photo of Kelly using it.

So, here you go... Not just one photo, but two of them! ;)

Enjoy your day! :)

Last Saturday (FD)

I'm sure many of you know what it's like when you have a friend from early childhood. Most of the time, as you grow up, you and that friend will start living your seporate lives and lose touch a bit. That's what happened with me and Pia. So - on top of still wondering what I did last Saturday (July 25th) - now you'll be wondering who Pia is? Well, don't worry, because I'm about to answer both questions.

First of all, the one about who Pia is.

Pia is the eldest daughter (second to youngest child) of a friend my Mam has had since they both had their youngest boys, who are literally a few days apart in age. Since those boys (in the case of the one who is my brother, that refers to Carl) are a year older than I am, it's not really surprising that they - Mam and Jane (the friend) - already knew each other well by the time I came along. So, with Pia being a year younger than I am I'm sure you wont be surprised to hear that Pia and I had a lot to do with each other when we were very young. In fact, we were good friends from the time Pia was old enough to play with me. And it stayed that way right up until we were heading in to our teens. Unfortunately, about that point we started drifting apart, as often happens, hence the creation of all those sites designed to help you find old friends. I did get updates on how Pia was doing vvia Mam, who got them via Jane, and sometimes I was even there to hear the news directly from Jane myself. But that's about it, since - by the time I was no longer in the school I went to in Hastings - Pia was living in England.

Plenty of times I'd find out at the last minute - or after the visit was over - that Pia was visiting Jane, but nothing was ever done about arranging for us to meet up. Until, that is, this latest visit. Which will answer the question some of you have probably been trying to figure out the answer to since last Sunday when I hinted that I'd done something special the day before. I finally - after more than ten years of not seeing her - met up with Pia. And got to meet her little girl, Emilee. I didn't meet her little boy though, because Ryan was asleep, and we obviously weren't going to wake up an 18 month old just so I could meet him. After all, we don't have death wishes, and there was enough chaos at Jane's house with everyone who was there, without adding a tired toddler to the mix. LOL! So I'll have to meet Ryan another time.

I didn't actually go in Jane's house though, Pia and Jane (and later Jane's youngest - and only other daughter - Louise) came out to the car to talk to me for a while. The main reason for this was that I'd neglected to mention our plans to Kelly, and he'd arranged to go up to my parents' place for a gaming session with some friends, which meant I had Kero with me (since he can't be left alone). And we really didn't think that a day when there were eight adults, an 11 year old, a 5 year old, a 4 year old, a toddler due to turn 2 in September, and - had he been awake - an 18 month old, all trying to fit in one living room (and that was before Mam and I got there) was a good day for Gerrard and Kero to meet for the first time. Especially since we're not sure they'll get on, since Gerrard is quite energetic, and Kero tends to be a little snappy towards dogs who pounce him too much. Especially if those dogs are bigger than him, which Gerrard is. So Kero going in wasn't really an option, and he couldn't be left in the car on his own. So, I stayed out there with him, and Mam went in and told them we were out there so that anyone interested in coming to say, "hi," to me could come out to us.

Anyway, I had a long-ish chat with Pia and Jane, then Mam, Kero and I went for a walk in the park near where we used to live (which is also near where Jane lives) and Pia's little girl, Emilee, and Daniel (Jane's eldest son)'s daughter, Chelsea, came with us. And Chelsea walked Kero for part of the walk.

I know that walk well... I walked it enough when we still lived close enough... so I figured it would be a good time to practice using my cane. And my Mam - who had my camera - decided to take a photo of me using it.

I never gave a thought to getting photos of my Mam, Pia, or any of the other adults, and wasn't sure if Mam had gotten one of Chelsea. Doesn't look like she did. Ryan was asleep - as I already mentioned - so I couldn't get a photo of him. I did, however, get some photos of Emilee. OK, my Mam did, but let's not be picky. And these are the photos I wanted to wait for before writing this post.

The leaf Emilee is studying is one Chelsea made a happy face out of. You probably can't see anything special about it in the first photo, but you'll be able to see it more clearly in the next photo.

After the trip to the park, I had a long-ish chat with Louise before going home.

Anyway, by the time we got home it was after 2:00 pm, then my Mam did a load of baking. She made some risoles for Louise, and some cakes for the rest of us. She made three different kinds of cakes... All what we call fairy cakes, and you guys in the states and such insist on calling "muffins" even though they aren't really muffins.

She made double chocolate ones, blueberry ones, and cherry ones.

I didn't have any of the chocolate ones, though Kelly says they were really tasty. I'll have to take his word for it, since I don't eat chocolate cake. I did, however, have and enjoy some of the cherry ones, and some of the blueberry ones. I also enjoyed licking the bowl from the cherry ones. I was good though... I only had the one bowl to lick, even though I could have had three if I really wanted. ;)

After the baking, Mam made dinner for us both, then she had to go and get something Jane had asked her to pick up, and fetched Kelly to bring him home, and it took me the rest of the evening to get the kitchen properly cleaned up from our baking. It was a right mess! You couldn't touch anything (including cupboard doors) without getting something sticky on your hands! You'd swear we'd had a food fight or something. LOL! I asked my Mam how she got cake mix on some of the things she did, and she has no idea. *Shaking head* I think the cleanest thing in the kitchen was the chair I was sat on, and that's only because I was in the way of it getting dirty, I think. LOL!

OK, so this post probably wasn't quite as exciting as you thought it might have been. But it was a fun day!

Enjoy your weekend! :)

P.S. Kero's photos from last Saturday will be posted in his next post. So, look out for them Friday.

What frozen treat are you? (fd)

You Are an Ice Cream Sandwich
You are well grounded, reliable, and very balanced.
You love to work hard, but you also know how to take it easy.

People might be surprised to know you have a very goofy side to you.
You like to let loose and have fun. You just don't let yourself go too crazy!

Yesterday's outing

We did actually go where we planned to go yesterday (Thursday) and we had a great time. Still not telling where we went though. *Grins evily* You can find out when the posts are up... I'm doing a few separate posts to keep them short, and they will be posted as from Monday. I have a couple of others I want to post first though. Including the one about what I did last Saturday, which will be posted tomorrow. :)

Kero's Korner: Waving hi

Hi humans!

I have some photos of me to share from Saturday, but Mami asked me not to post them until after she does her post about Saturday (which she's going to do soon, honest). So I'll leave those for next week's post. Instead I thought I would share these photos of me waving "hi" while laying on the big bed.

Birds and beans (kinda FD)

As you can see, I've been out in the back garden with the Sparrows again. :)

And I've managed to get a few slightly different bird photos. Including this next one...

While I was out there I also grabbed a shot of my bean plants, which seem to be doing quite well. At least, one of them does. The other one doesn't seem to be doing quite as well, though it's still doing pretty good. At least, I think it is. I can't really tell properly, so I've been leaving the plants to Kelly and Mam, and they keep saying they're doing well, which is good enough for me.

All being well it shouldn't be too much longer before we have runner beans. At least, that's what we're hoping. Well, Mam and I are. Kelly... Not so much, since he doesn't really like runner beans.

Strawberries (FD)

The photos in this post are of some very tasty strawberries I had recently. They were the sweetest, most delicious strawberries I ever remember having, which is what made them blog worthy.

Enjoy your day, and what's left of strawberry season! :)

A blanket

I'm posting this separately from my craft update, because I didn't really do it. Mam and I sort of started it off, but most of it was done by my Nan... The one who lives with my Mam, my Dad, and my brother, Wayne. I did pick the colours though... And I supplied the wool. Well, supplied it from the stack I got given by Eleri. But it was still my wool. LOL! Anyway, we're going to give it to someone as a joint present from the three of us at Christmas. Yeah, I know, I used the "c" word. But I can't help it. Most items being made now are going to be Christmas presents, so I don't have a choice. I'm not going to name the person it's for though, because that person sometimes stops by and reads my blog. Not often, but I don't want to take the chance that this will be one of the times, and that that person will then know it will be them recieving the blanket. Tori

July 2009 craft update: of wool and clay

No photos this month, and not a whole lot to say either. I've almost finished knitting the scarf that will be part of a hat, scarf and gloves set that I'm making for my Mam for Christmas (it's OK, I can mention it on here... She knows she's getting it... She asked for it). But I haven't really done anything else with knitting this past month. I should have had it finished by now, but I've not picked up my knitting for about a week, hence it not being done. Will have it done - and hopefully have the hat at least almost done - by next month's craft update though. The only other thing I've done is almost finished making the dragon candle holder I'm making out of clay for my Dad (again for Christmas, but he doesn't know about it... He doesn't read my blog though). Like I said, not much to mention this month.

Interesting posts coming soon... Honest!

I had a busy day yesterday. I'm not posting about it yet though, because I have a couple of photos I want to put in it, so I'm going to wait until they're sorted. Actually, I have a couple of posts that will be done once photos are sorted, and after Thursday there should be another one again. And, no, I'm not going to tell you why there should be more photos after Thursday. ;)

Anyway, other than what I did yesterday, I haven't done a whole lot this weekend.

Mam came down for a bit today, and we finally got my teddy collection up on the shelves properly, and we finally got some handles on the drawers of my chest of drawers. But that's about it.

Will have something more interesting to blog about once the photos are sorted... Honest! But I haven't gotten around to asking anyone to sort the photos for me yet. I might wait until after Thursday before asking someone for help, and then the whole lot can be sorted together. It's only a few more days.

About the only other thing that's happened this weekend is that I got Lunamyst (my conjurer/sorcerer/fighter... On that Valhalla game I've been playing) up to level 12. Would have been higher, but with mud games you lose xp when you die, and I died several times, so lost a LOT of xp. If I hadn't she might be about level 15 by now. Haven't done any more with Keroberous though.

Anyway, hope you're enjoying your weekend! :)
