Kero's 7th birthday

I can't believe it! My little puppy is 7 years old!

That means he's now considered a senior dog... Despite me still seeing him as the cute little puppy with the floppy ear who I brought home almost 7 years ago!

He's a good dog - well, most of the time, lol - who's helped me through some really tough times... I'm glad we decided to get him, and hope he's with us for a few more years yet!

Happy birthday Castellan Keroberous!

(Bet you're glad we just call him Kero and you don't have to remember how to spell that, LOL!)

Well, for the occassion, I'll spell the name out in full. :)

Happy birthday Castellan Keroberous!

But hey!! He's "only" 49 in human years... he's not quite "senior"!!

Iggy:
The Cesar dog food he has says senior is 7 plus, that's why I say, "senior" dog. I don't think 49 makes someone a senior anyway. Besides, you're only as old as you feel, and by how he bounced about all over the place when I got home, I don't think Kero's feeling old just yet! ;)

Happy birthday Castellan Keroberous! (Thank goodness for cut and paste--ROFL!)

What does that name mean, if anything?

I thought that I heard (working in pet shops) that instead of the 7 years per dog year that to be more accurate it would go 10, 9, 8, and then 7-7-7...but even then he'd only be like 55, right? (I am pathetic at math without a calculator.) That STILL isn't a senior--hehe! ;)

Anyways, happy birthday, Kero! :):)

LOL! (About the cut and paste thing).

"Castellan" is his kennel prefix, but it's apparently a Latin name/word meaning "protector and keeper of the house or castle" or something along those lines. "Keroberous" is a name I got from a cartoon series called "Cardcaptors" (well, there are movies for it too, but the series was first, I'm sure). "Keroberous" is a name taken from a name that's a form of a Japenese word that means "lloyal protector" (though - to cut out all the "taken from" stuff - I usually just say, "it's a Japenese name that means loyal protector" to save confusing people with the rest of it... Especially since I'm not 100% sure how many "taken from" things come in to it). So, in short, "Castellan Keroberous" means "loyal protector and keeper of the home or castle" (or something to that effect).

Especially the loyal part, and especially when it comes to me!
