#Pets, #Crafting, #Baking, #MothersDay, A Birthday, And Medical Mutterings

The above photo shows Artemis enjoying a bit of green bean, and is included just because she's cute, and because I took it (how much she was enjoying that bean made me feel I had to take a photo). Though I'm starting the post with it, it was a last moment addition to the post, since I only took it yesterday (Thursday). Sorry if it's not a great shot, but I was doing everything one-handed.  If you saw my post on social media, you'll know why.  If you didn't, you'll understand by the end of this post.

*~*~*

Despite the fact it's still a little bit chaotic in there, I found an excuse to play in my craft room a little.  Well, technically two excuses: Mother's Day (which was March 14th here in the UK this year) and the birthday of one of my brothers (which was March 15th).

So, this past Saturday (March 13th) I spent a bit of time in the craft room to make them cards.  And here they are, for anyone who would like to see them:

Presentwise...

I brought Mam a new purse (wallet) as well as a magnifying glass with a light on it that would help her when she's trying to read things, since she's said a few times recently she could do with both things.  I made sure the magnifying glass was one that also has a light on it on purpose, since she says her living room is quite dark, so I thought that would also help her with seeing to read things, since good lighting can help in itself.  It's also lightweight and easy to grip (designed to be so for people, such as children, the elderly, or people with medical conditions that affect their hands or arms, who might struggle to hold anything heavy for extended periods of time).  She seemed really pleased with what I got her.

And I gave Wayne some money, because he said that's what he wanted.

*~*~*

Mam and I cooked a roast dinner for Mother's Day. It was Mam's idea, so no comments about how I made my Mam cook on Mother's Day, please.  I didn't make her, she insisted, even though I asked her a million times if she wouldn't rather not do so.

Anyway, we were cooking for four, since Mam always cooks her next door neighbour dinner on a Sunday, so we made sure to make enough that she'd have one to take back to him as well as the meals for me, Mam, and Kelly.  As it happened, there was alsosome left that I put aside to have a couple of days later for a leftovers dinner, which meant it ended up being Wednesday before I had to worry about cooking again, since Dad provided my dinner for Monday (as I'll explain in a moment).

It was a chicken dinner for the rest of them, but we made me a vegan potato and beetroot gratin, which Mam had spotted the recipe for when looking for something for me to have with my potatoes, parsnips, carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower.  I wouldn't have minded not having anything else with all that veg, but she insisted, and the potato and beetroot gratin did sound nice, so we made it.  It was beetroot, and potatoes, sliced, and then layered with some vegan cheese, with a white sauce (flour, vegan butter, and vegan milk... Oat in this case, since it's what I had open).  It was very nice too.  Here's what it looked like after it was cooked, both before and after we started serving some of it:

We also made pear and apple ccrumble, though I didn't get any photos of that.  There was regular vanilla icecream to go with that for Mam and Kelly (well, actually, Kelly just had the icecream, since he didn't want any crumble) and a coconut-based icecream alternative for me.  Mam took some crumble home for her neighbour too, but gave him custard with his.  I had Kelly's piece later, with more of the coconut-based icecream, since he insisted he definitely didn't want it, and crumble is a favourite dessert of mine.

Kelly got me a craft kit to make a needle book from the petkids for Mother's Day.  It's a felt needle book kit, which is meant to feature an embroidered design on the front.  So, there's another kit to add to my projects list.

It's a very useful one though, since a lot of Nan's sewing needles are just in a little pill pot, so having them in a book would be a good idea.  But I can't put them in mine, since the little needle book I made is already full.  That's another reason making another one would be a good plan: if I have any needles with any of the kits I have waiting to be done - which I likely do, since a couple of them do involve sewing, if I remember correctly - I'll need something to put those in too.

*~*~*

Since Dad being the carer for my brother, Wayne, means Wayne's had to be part of my extended bubble anyhow so thatDad could still help us with a few things (like getting those food boxes) we all agreed it would be OK for me to get to see him on his birthday, which was the first time I'd seen him in person since early December... Last time I saw Wayne in person was when Dad was looking after both of us the weekend we moved back to Wales in early December, and took me and the dogs to Wayne's place for a large chunk of the Sunday.

We've been being cautious with physical contact even in our bubble, which is why I went so long without seeing him in person, but we figured it would be OK, especially with lockdown restrictions being eased enough that you're allowed to mix with another household - though only one other household - now.  A rule change here in Wales that came in on March 13th.  We're still being cautious - even with the rule change - but Dad's been going between us these past few months anyhow, caring for Wayne, and helping us with a few things, and has sometimes been close to all of us at one time or another without a mask during his duties, so if there was any risk we'd have already exposed each other anyway.

So, I went with Dad to see Wayne for his birthday.  And, to make sure it was vegan (so that I could have some too) I made Wayne a birthday cake.  I made a cinnamon cake, so we could have it sweet enough for me and Wayne, but without making it overly sweet for Dad (who's diabetic, so needs to be careful of sugars).  To make it a little more special for Wayne, but still keep sugars down for Dad, I dusted the top with a little nutmeg in the way people sometimes do with powdered sugar.  I made it on the morning of Wayne's birthday, so it had only been baked a few hours before Dad took me down to Waynes with him that evening.  Sorry, no photo of the cake, since I forgot to get one.

Dad brought us all Chinese food.  So we had that, and then Wayne let me play with Gizmo (his Leopard Gecko) for a few minutes.  After that we watched a movie, and then had some of the cake I made.

The movie we watched was "Carry On: Don't Lose Your Head" - which was Wayne's choice.  I'm not a huge fan of the Carry On movies.  They're funny in parts, so I don't dislike them, but they're definitely not something I'd pick if I was choosing the entertainment for the evening.  But it was his birthday, so he got to choose.  At least this was one of the better Carry On movies.

Since I need something to do with my hands when I'm watching a movie - especially if I'm tired - I took my crochet down with me to work on that while we watched the movie, so got a couple of rows of my crochet scarf done that evening.  I got a little less done than I expected, since Maya was rather pleased to see me, so I had to wait for her to calm down before I could work on it.  I don't mind though, since I was there to see Wayne (and sort of the animals too, because it's me).

It was a lovely evening... Until I shut my hand in the car door when me and Dad were leaving.

Luckily, the door didn't close properly, so only minor damage was done.  But - as we discovered when I finally relented and agreed to go to the hospital the following evening (so, this past Tuesday) - that was bad enough, and I did plenty of damage as it is.

I cracked the bone of my middle finger on my right hand.  It's only a small crack, though they can't tell exactly how small, because I also crushed the finger a little, so things are slightly compressed at the moment.

It could have been a lot worse.

Let me tel you though, this is bad enough! It's very painful, and my issues with taking most painkillers means there's not really anything to do but tolerate it, and hope it heals quickly so it will stop hurting.

My middle finger is strapped to my ring finger, and will be for the next six weeks, with only short breaks between changes of the bandaging.  I can only use the thumb and index finger on that hand, but have strict instructions to only do so when absolutely essential for the next few weeks, since it's only out of consideration for my lack of sight I was allowed that much use of the hand.

Yes, I've just been typing this with one hand.  It's been an incredibly slow process.

Needless to say, I haven't done any crafting since Monday, or made progress with organizing anything this week.  Unfortunately, I have several more weeks before that can change.

Anyway, those of you who know him - or read last week's post - probably won't be surprised to hear that Logan wasn't happy about me being gone all evening, and was overjoyed when Dad brought me home at what Logan considered a time that was much too long after the time I left.

Actually, he wasn't alone in his feelings.  None of the petkids were too impressed at me being gone, since I was out past the time we turn Artemis' lamps off for the night (9:00pm) so Kelly sorted the 'tortoise time' routine (which involves checking Artemis and making sure she's safely tucked up in one of her sleeping spots for the night, turning off her lamps, giving Mollie her evening snack, and starting to settle the dogs for the night).  It's usually me who does those things, and none of the petkids were impressed that Kelly did them instead.  According to my petkids, "At least someone did them for you," isn't a good enough answer, and the fact it was Wayne's birthday isn't a good enough excuse.

Logan - and Lilie, for that matter - were rather upset when I then disappeared for several hours again the following evening.  And crazy with excitement when I returned home.

*~*~*

For those who might be wondering: my Mam had her Covid vaccination on March 13th, and other than some pain in the arm they used for the shot, as well as a headache, is just fine.  Well, she's also feeling tired and drained, but since she suffers with chronic fatigue anyhow, I'm not sure if that's just her normal tiredness, from our late night because of all the time the hospital trip took (it was Mam who took me... Once she finally convinced me to go) or if it is part of her shot reaction.

Dad gets his tomorrow, so hopefully he'll have the same luck.

With how they're doing it over here though, they won't get their second dose until early June.

I was slightly reasured to learn that the first thing they did was ask Mam several questions, including what her allergies are - both to medicines and food items - and how she'd reacted to flu jabs in the past.  So, at least they are considering that.  She was going to ask them about it because of me, but didn't bother since they ask about it anyhow, so she figured she'd let me and them decide when I show up and mention my previous reactions and the list of things I'm allergic to whether or not I should get the new jab.

#Blind #Ocean #Photography, #Crafting Kits, Technical Issues, Weather Reports, And Day To Day Life

The photos at the top of this post are ocean photos taken during one of our walks with Lilie. In this case, on May 15th 2019. I took them while we were resting on a bench along the seafront. If you look at the second one, you should see that I snapped it just right to catch a passing bird in the shot.

Yes. I've been playing with the camera. Mostly I've been leaving photography up to Kelly. In fact, since we got the new camera just before my zoo experience, I haven't even touched it other than to hand it to him. Until recently, when I decided to have a go at using it. So I've been playing with it with Lilie - photos of her to come at the end of the month, since they're all in a post from her - and took a couple of photos while we were along the seafront last week. I've only had a couple of shots where I didn't get what I wanted in the shot properly. I guess all that practice when we used to have the bird feeder when we still lived in Wales, when Iggy patiently checked photo after photo for me in hopes of a successful bird shot - something I'm very grateful to him for having the patience and willingness to do - paid off. *wink*

Anyway, for the benifit of those who like to know: my May Makerly box contained a wet felt purse kit, which they say can be used to make a pouch for something else rather than a little coin purse, if you don't want a coin purse (they suggest something like a mobile phone pouch). These kits are certainly going to have me trying some new crafts.

Oh, and... Speaking of craft projects: there's progress on the unicorn, but Kelly hasn't quite finished helping me touch up the paintwork yet. Not because there's a lot to do for it, but because we've been doing other things. As eager as I am to get on with my next craft project, crafting has had to take a bit of a back seat over the past couple of weeks. It seems to happen like that for us though, despite my efforts to balance things out. We go in stages, where one thing gets made the priority for a while, and then another thing does, until we come back to the first thing. It all works out in the end though, so it's no big deal. At least, I don't think it is.

In other news...

I was almost no longer on Facebook, and if it happens again, I won't be on Facebook any more. Long story short, Facebook locked my account, and my attempts to prove I was me weren't working. I got to the stage where I wasn't even going to try any more, deleted the app from my phone, and sent out messages telling Facebook friends I could contact in other ways that I couldn't get on it any more. Then, Monday morning, I finally got the code through on my phone for the only way to prove I was me that was accessable to me, so was able to regain access to my account after all. Except the same thing happened again a few hours later, only I got back in quicker. As I said, if it happens again, I won't be on Facebook any more; if it happens again, I'm just deleting Facebook. If that happens, Kelly - who also has admin rights on my author page - will maintain that, and those of you who I connect with through Facebook will have to keep in touch in other ways. There's via this blog, Twitter, Goodreads, or eMail. I'm also on YouTube, which isn't as easy for keeping in touch, but I figured I might as well mention too.

On a more cheerful note, for those interested in weather reports: the weather's been lovely during the day over the past week, and kind of chilly but otherwise nice at night. We've had lots of times when we could have the window open. I was even able to leave it open all night one time. I love when I can do that. I'd do it more, but I have to think of others with temperatures. Mollie would be OK, since chinchillas can handle cold, but Joshua might not be. I'm willing to sacrifice having my window open more if it means reducing the chance he'll get sick. Especially with him getting up there in years in degu terms. It did get kind of cold and drizzly one day. But one day out of seven, and only a bit of light drizzle at that, isn't a big deal.

Anyway, it's been one of those weeks where it's a busy and productive week, but it's difficult to explain what took up all the time. We've been trying to finish up some stuff before the end of the month, so we're all caught up before the thing that's happening in June. My reading and DVD watching goals for the year are among those things. On top of that, the sores Kelly had on his legs before have come back, and this time the doctor is sending him for a bunch of tests to look in to why properly, so he's got various appointments to go to, one of which involved him having several vials of blood taken, so feeling pretty lousy and drained for a day or so afterwards. Then there are all the general day to day tasks that seem to need doing again as fast as you catch up with them. I'm sure you know the ones I mean.

We have more appointments coming up, since Lilie has an appointment to get her nails trimmed tomorrow (she doesn't wear them down properly on walks, even though she walks on concrete a lot; it's common for small dogs not to wear their nails down properly, and to need them trimmed regularly) as well as her yearly vet check-up, I've got the dentist stuff still being sorted, and Kelly's not done with his appointments yet.

You might think we should postpone the thing happening in June because of all the stuff going on. But we can't. Even if we could, I wouldn't want to. I'm super excited about it happening. When I tell you what it is, I expect you'll understand why. Those who know me well will anyhow. Besides, there's always something, isn't there? So it's happening, and I'm really looking forward to it. Just a couple more weeks.

Baby Gates, #Christmas Decorations, And #Crafting

It's been quite cold here. A bit stormy at times too. No snow though. There's been rain and hail. But no snow.

One of the flights of stairs we have to go down to get to street level is actually inside our apartment. To stop Lilie running down them when we don't want her to (like when we're trying to get to the door without her) we got a gate to go at the top of them. We did try just getting her to stay at the top, but she's a bit hit and miss with obeying the command. Plus, she's gotten over excited and fallen on the stairs herself a few times, which is not a good thing. So, like I said, we got a gate to go at the top of the stairs. Anyway, our friends, Lorna and Andy, came to help us put it together, and get it properly atatched to the wall, on Saturday afternoon.

The other gate we have used to be in a place in the hallway where it stopped her getting anywhere but the room that was a combined computer room and bedroom, the bathroom, and the laundry area (the latter being where her bowls and puppy pads are). But now we have the computer room and bedroom properly seporated again, we have the other gate on the living room doorway, to stop her getting to the rodent gang when we don't want her to, but allow her access to us regardless of which room we're in. But that left the access to the stairs unblocked too. Hence the need for a second gate.

The old one is a pressure fit gate. But this one is a proper stair gate, and needed to be screwed in. Kelly and me doing it with Lilie's help wouldn't have worked, and shutting Lilie out of the way while we did would have meant upsetting her by putting her in puppy jail the whole time, or letting her be in with the rodent gang without us while we did it. Neither option appealed to us. Plus, Andy is good at DIY projects. So he came to put it together with Kelly, while Lorna and I hung out in the living room with Lilie and the rodent gang.

It took longer than planned... They'd actually made another trip previously to come and sort it, but had to leave before it was done, since they had to be somewhere else, and it was taking longer than expected. After all, neither Kelly nor Andy have had much experience with baby equipment of any kind. But they got it done in the end. I don't think Lilie's too pleased, but I am. So, thank you Lorna and Andy. Especially Andy.

After they left, I put up some Christmas decorations. Only a few, like I said was going to be the case, but here they are.

A little table display involving our little wooden tree, the old Santa ornament I brought my first Christmas not living at home, a polar bear my Mam gave me last year, and several candles (the arch and the two pillar candles are battery powered, but the little one in the jar in front is a sugarplum fantasies scented candle, which I brought this year).

Another new addition to my Christmas decorations collection for this year was this mistletoe ornament, which I hung on the livingroom door frame (with some help from Kelly, because I struggled to reach, even standing on the very tips of my toes). If you stop to kiss under it, watch out for nargles!

A mix of old and new again now, as I show you the two cards we've had so far. You should be able to see that I decorated the door I'm putting the cards on. The bells are old. They were a set belonging to my Mam. The snowflake chain is a new addition this year though. Anyway, the cards are from two of my online friends. Rita and Corinne, and their furry family members. Thanks ladies, and furry types.

The only other decoration I put up this year was this driving reindeer, which is by my computer. It plays "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" when you press the button on its paw. I couldn't not put this one out... Kero used to love it.

That's all I put up this year. We don't have a tree, other than the little wooden tabletop one, and I didn't bother getting out any of the other decorations. I just wanted to have a few of my favourites out, just to make things a little Christmasy around here.

Then, on Sunday, I finished making the Christmas mouse kit. So, here he is:

He wasn't quite done in time to be in his place for the photos, but he's finished in time for Christmas, and does now have a spot among the things on the table. I think he's kind of cute, if I do say so myself.

I do have to admit to something though: I didn't follow the pattern 100%. I just took the stuff that was in the box, and used it to make my idea of a Christmasy mouse. I hope you like him as much as I do.

Now I'm working on the table runner again. I was going to work on the robin needle felt kit next, but I really want to have the table runner finished before the end of the year, even if it means I won't have the robin done in time for Christmas. He can be a new addition for next Christmas instead.

#Mist Near The #Ocean, #Crafting, And Cushion Repair

It seems we've had several misty mornings and evenings recently. Kelly took the photos at the top of this post on November 16th. We've had plenty of frosty mornings and evenings too. Not to mention, the temperature has spent a lot of time not all that far above freezing. Still no snow though. Plenty of rain and wind. Even some hail. But no snow. At least, not in my area, though some parts of the UK have had some. If any of you who have been getting snow want to send some over to my place, please feel free to do so. Send as much as you like.

I forgot to mention that my November SewMine box arrived on my birthday. I'm certain they didn't plan that on purpose, but it was kind of cool that it happened. Anyway, November's kit is an owl sewing kit. I have an owl sewing kit I brought elsewhere too, but they're different. Not that I'd mind if they were the same, since I like owls anyhow. But I'm glad they're different.

My November box from Makerly arrived a few days later, which I also forgot to mention, even though it arrived during my birthday week (it arrived shortly before we were heading out on the Friday, so that was well timed). This month's kit for that is a robin needle felt kit. I'm going to work on that one once I've finished the Christmas mouse I'm currently working on, since I think it will be a nice addition to my Christmas decorations when it's done. I'm hoping to have it done by Christmas, but we'll see what actually ends up happening.

The Christmas mouse is coming along nicely, but not quite finished yet. The mouse himself is made. I'm just working on his outfit. There's a good chance he'll be finished in time for me to post a photo of him next week though. But don't hold me to that, just in case. There's a good chance, but I'm not making any promises.

There's progress with the table runner too. Just slower than planned, because of Kelly and I working on it together, and us both having other things we're working on. Luckily, we've got about 11 months before Halloween rolls around again. *wink*

Oh, and I ended up taking a bit of a break from doing the kits to mend a cushion cover. One of my Westie cushion covers, which are on the cushions that are on my chair in the livingroom, got a bit torn. I think Lilie caught it with her claws accidentally when she was playing. Probably one of the times she threw a bit of rawhide and it went down between the cushions, and she had to get it out. At least, it didn't look like her intentional chewing usually looks, so I'm pretty sure it was accidentally. I hope it was. Anyway, I fixed it, and it's luckily not in a place where it's obvious. Plus, people shouldn't be inspecting my cushions for darned places anyhow, and if they spot them should be glad I chose to repair it rather than throw it away. After all, you should always reuse, recycle, or repair, unless you really can't for some reason.

The only other thing I can think of that happened recently was two of the three birthday movies I'm owed showing up a couple of days ago. They were "Incredibles 2" and "Sherlock Gnomes" - just in case you're interested. There's one more to come, which probably won't be here for a couple of weeks yet, since I believe the official release date is December 10th. Oh, and I started Christmas shopping yesterday.

Rough #Ocean Views, #Crafting, And Starting To Think About #Christmas

Her ideal was a wild and lonely sea coast. No matter if the winter gales sent waves beating against her walls, flinging stones at her windows and over her roof; warm and snug inside, she was perfectly happy and loved it there.
~C.R. Milne

It's been a stormy sort of week. I love listening to the storms, and to the rough ocean.

Speaking of the rough ocean: here are some photos of it. The three photos I'm about to share with you were taken on the morning of November 9th, when the ocean was sort of rough, though not at its roughest. It's been worse than this.

Even at that point it was quite a blustery day , and a bit of a drizzly one too. At least, we got a bit damp when we went for our walk, and poor Lilie came close to being blown off her paws at one point. I bet she felt just like Piglet from Winnie The Pooh at that moment, though at least she was already tethered to something solid, since Kelly had hold of the other end of her lead. She certainly made me think of him anyhow. As I said, it got worse later, eventually becoming one of the storms we've had over the past week.

I heard some idiots deciding to still do their firework displays in that weather. Even I think that's stupid, and I'm a big fan of fireworks. Luckily, there was enough rain that any potential issues from the wind were prevented. But still. Like I said... Idiots! If you want to have your own firework display. Fine. But at least do it when weather conditions are appropriate, and not in the middle of a storm. Fireworks are dangerous enough without adding those extra risks.

Anyway, on a more cheerful note, did you know: it's six weeks to Christmas Day today.

Yes. Really.

Hmmm... Maybe that's not more cheerful to some of you? I like Christmas though, so it is to me.

So... Have you started making holiday plans? If not, when will you start? If you have, how are those plans going so far?

I've started figuring out what I'm getting for who, but that's as far as I've managed to get with my plans so far. Not that there's much to do beyond that, apart from putting up the decorations. Oh, and buying a Christmas tree. Got to do that at some point. But I already decided those things will happen in December. We don't decorate until December anyhow, so there's no point me worrying too much about getting a tree before that either, even though Mini Mr. Pumpkin-Head had to go, so the only Halloween themed thing still up is my sugarskull, who's still happily grinning at us whenever we go in the living room.

What I have done though is unpacked my every day ornaments. The ones that are supposed to be on display in the living room. My ornamental Westies, and things like that. They're now unpacked, and on display like they're meant to be. That's one more box unpacked, and its contents organized. We're getting there. Could do with more shelves to sort most of the rest though. It will probably wait until the new year now.

In other news:

I've canceled my subscription to the Mister Maker boxes. I subscribed, despite them being aimed at children, thinking they'd be easy and accessable crafts, which they are. However, they're a little more simple than I'd hoped. I even tried increasing the age the site had me listed as (they make you add a child's age when you sign up) and that didn't make any difference that I could see. For a child, especially one who's a fan of Mr. Maker, they're great little kits. For an older crafter just looking for easy and accessable crafts... Not so much. So, I'm stopping them. Not because they aren't good kits, but because they aren't for me. Basically, you really do need to be in the recommended age group for these boxes - which is three to eight years old - to fully enjoy them. At least, that's how it seems to me. Older crafters could potentially enjoy them. But younger crafters would get more enjoyment out of them. So, I cancelled my subscription.

I was going to subscribe to another box in their place, but decided not to. I have my SewMine and Makerly boxes coming for fun craft projects, and my Harry Potter box too. That's plenty of fun post, and a nice variety as well. The rest of what we'll call my spending allowance (for lack of a better term for it) can go towards getting books and DVDs, or getting supplies for any other craft projects I decide for myself that I'd like to do. Besides, you can never have too many of those things. Especially the books. You can definitely never have too many books.

Besides, since it takes me longer to do the craft kits than it does a lot of people, the kits from those two boxes are giving me plenty to keep me busy. Plus, I brought a couple of the old boxes from both of them. The felt flowers from Makerly, and a Christmas mouse kit from SewMine. So that's even more to keep me busy.

I - or, more accurately, we - have been working on the Autumn themed table runner that was in the first SewMine box I got (the same runner I was hoping to have had finished before Halloween). There's slow progress on that one, because we decided Kelly should do the ironing parts, for safety reasons, so I have to keep waiting for him. That's Why I can't accurately just say "I" have been working on it. Anyway, while I wait, I'm working on the Christmas mouse kit, which is one I only need help with colour identification for, so can easily do by myself for the most part.

Ha! I still got out of doing any ironing! Actually, I'd have done it myself regardless. But Kelly spacifically asked me to let him do it. So I'm letting him. Not because it's safer, or because it gets me out of doing any ironing - though those things are true - but because it will be nice to be able to have it on the table next Halloween, knowing we made it together.

By the way, speaking of crafting: do you want to make sure your craft projects are eco-friendly? Use ecoStardust for all your glittery crafting needs! No, I'm not getting anything for advertizing for them. I also haven't actually tried the stuff out myself. But I saw the article the other day, and thought it sounded cool, so decided to share it.

Furkid Thoughts: grooming and packages (LBE)

Hi humans, it's Kero here. I had a grooming appointment on Monday morning, and when I got back Mami got the camera out to take some photos of me. Don't I look super handsome? "Yeah, I'm super handsome!" "It's exhausting being this handsome... I need a nap!" "Or, maybe I'll nap here... This pillow looks like a great place for a nap!" "What was that? Did I hear something?" "I'm sure I heard someone!" "Who's out there?" "The door, the door... Someone's at the door!" "Did I do good, Mami?" WOW! Look at all the crafting goodies Mami got! Perfect for that card making thing she's started doing again. These will keep her busy for a while... Hope she remembers to stop playing with the stuff long enough to take me walkies! For the benifit of anyone who wants to know, I took a few extra moments from my busy schedule of barking, walking, sleeping, playing with my toys, and eating my food and treats, and I got you a list of what's in the box. And here it is: 2 small pots of Tacky PVA Glue 1 Glitter 28ml Pot - Red 1 pack of Adhesive Stones - Gold 1 pack of Art Attack Fun Foam Shapes 1 small Plastic Craft Organizer (for sequins and things to go in) 1 reel of Everyday Ribbon - Satin Ribbon Gold 12 packs (all different) of 3D foam stickers 1 pack of Christmas Foam Adhesive Shapes 1 pack of Mini Buttons 1 pack of Adhesive Dew Drops - Silver 2 Polystyrene Balls (to make tree decorations out of) 1 Create Your Own Christmas Stocking kit 1 pack of Satin Buds - Lemon Rose 1 pack of Ribbon Bows 1 Acrylic Felt Sheet - Gold 2 packs of Ribbon Stickers - Little Paws Like I said, she better find time to take me walkies still! Oh, and my Mami says for me to tell anyone who's wondering... The stocking kit is for her to use to make a stocking for Gwydion. He hasn't got one, so Santa had to put his stuff under the tree last year, because Mami and Dadi forgot all about sorting one for him until it was too late... Bad humans! So now he'll have one for when Santa Paws comes again, which is how it should be! But wait, there's more... No, not for Mami, this stuff is for me! A new set of bowls for when we go to the new house the humans keep talking about: And a mat for them to go on (to protect the kitchen floor)... My old one got ruined ages ago, but my humans never got around to replacing it until now. Anyway, here it is: "Thank you... I'll take that treat!" There's another rawhide treat like that in my treat tub now too (it was also in the parcel). I think I also saw a couple of rawhide shoes! Oh yeah, and we didn't bother getting a photo of it - because it's just a basic one, and exactly like the one you saw being used when I was being brushed during the last batch of photos I posted - but I also got a new brush. After all this time my brush is getting in a state... The bits that stick in it and are used to do the brushing (I think they're called bristles?) are falling out. So Mami got a new one for me ready for when we go to the new place. "Now I'm REALLY tired... I'm practically falling asleep in this chair..." After all the excitement, it's time for another nap, I think! Licks and sniffs, Kero
