#Mist Near The #Ocean, #Crafting, And Cushion Repair

It seems we've had several misty mornings and evenings recently. Kelly took the photos at the top of this post on November 16th. We've had plenty of frosty mornings and evenings too. Not to mention, the temperature has spent a lot of time not all that far above freezing. Still no snow though. Plenty of rain and wind. Even some hail. But no snow. At least, not in my area, though some parts of the UK have had some. If any of you who have been getting snow want to send some over to my place, please feel free to do so. Send as much as you like.

I forgot to mention that my November SewMine box arrived on my birthday. I'm certain they didn't plan that on purpose, but it was kind of cool that it happened. Anyway, November's kit is an owl sewing kit. I have an owl sewing kit I brought elsewhere too, but they're different. Not that I'd mind if they were the same, since I like owls anyhow. But I'm glad they're different.

My November box from Makerly arrived a few days later, which I also forgot to mention, even though it arrived during my birthday week (it arrived shortly before we were heading out on the Friday, so that was well timed). This month's kit for that is a robin needle felt kit. I'm going to work on that one once I've finished the Christmas mouse I'm currently working on, since I think it will be a nice addition to my Christmas decorations when it's done. I'm hoping to have it done by Christmas, but we'll see what actually ends up happening.

The Christmas mouse is coming along nicely, but not quite finished yet. The mouse himself is made. I'm just working on his outfit. There's a good chance he'll be finished in time for me to post a photo of him next week though. But don't hold me to that, just in case. There's a good chance, but I'm not making any promises.

There's progress with the table runner too. Just slower than planned, because of Kelly and I working on it together, and us both having other things we're working on. Luckily, we've got about 11 months before Halloween rolls around again. *wink*

Oh, and I ended up taking a bit of a break from doing the kits to mend a cushion cover. One of my Westie cushion covers, which are on the cushions that are on my chair in the livingroom, got a bit torn. I think Lilie caught it with her claws accidentally when she was playing. Probably one of the times she threw a bit of rawhide and it went down between the cushions, and she had to get it out. At least, it didn't look like her intentional chewing usually looks, so I'm pretty sure it was accidentally. I hope it was. Anyway, I fixed it, and it's luckily not in a place where it's obvious. Plus, people shouldn't be inspecting my cushions for darned places anyhow, and if they spot them should be glad I chose to repair it rather than throw it away. After all, you should always reuse, recycle, or repair, unless you really can't for some reason.

The only other thing I can think of that happened recently was two of the three birthday movies I'm owed showing up a couple of days ago. They were "Incredibles 2" and "Sherlock Gnomes" - just in case you're interested. There's one more to come, which probably won't be here for a couple of weeks yet, since I believe the official release date is December 10th. Oh, and I started Christmas shopping yesterday.

Good for you, Christmas shopping. And your crafting sounds fun. I did a needlefelting class recently and I think I flunked! I need to try again! Please share yours when done!

Will do. Hopefully it will be some time between now and Christmas, unless it takes longer to get to it than planned, since I'd really like to finish up the projects I'm working on first. Either way, I'll share photos when I'm done. I've never tried it before, so it's going to be interesting figuring it out. Hopefully I'll have as much fun trying it out as I did with the quilling.

Hope to see your Christmas mouse when it's done. :)

I am hoping for more snow before Christmas. We barely have enough to cover the grass here right now. Supposed to be a little snow coming through today but it might be followed by sleet or rain. :(

I hope you get some snow. I bet Lilie would love to investigate the cold, white ground. :)

I promise to share photos of all projects when they're completed... Regardless of how long they take me to complete. ;)

Hope you got your snow, and that I get some soon too. Right now just lots more rain and hail though.

Lilie loved the snow last Winter, so I think she'll be as excited as me to see it if - or when - we get some. :)

We had a few snow flurries Tuesday night, not even a dusting, but I still hate to see any snow this early in the year.

I'm glasd you were able to repair the cushion, and that it seems like Lilie didn't do it on purpose. That usually makes it a little easier, when you don't have to worry so much about them tearing it up again.

I hope you get some snow soon.

Early in the year? Um... OK. Well, tell your snow to come to me if you don't want it.

Her not having done it on purpose reduces the chances that she'll chew it. But it's no guarantee. We're still working on the whole chewing things situation with her. She's improving, but we still have bad days with her chewing things she's not supposed to.
