#AmListening - Drummers On The Seafront

Living where we do, in past years it's been common to hear and see parades, or simply hear music, coming from somewhere along the seafront during the summer.  Not so much this year though, as I'm sure you won't be surprised to hear.  However, a month ago - and it really was a month ago, since it was the evening of August 18th 2020 - we randomly heard some drums, and discovered there were some drummers on the beach.

We're not sure if they were there for any kind of event, if they were part of something bigger going on, or whatever.  All we know is they were nice to listen to, and were some welcome entertainment for while we enjoyed our evening meal.

Anyway, we thought we'd share the music, so here are the photo and video we got that evening.  Enjoy!

With my youngest son being a percussionist, I've always enjoyed listening to drums. Also dated a few many years ago, lol. You guys have such an awesome view, Tori!

Glad you enjoyed the music, and the view too. :)

Yes, it's a nice view. I'm going to miss being able to share pictures of it when we move. Will have to get as many as possible between now and then...

what a nice change of pace. And I'm glad you enjoy what they are doing (makes a huge difference!)

Yes, it was a very nice change of pace. Also, while possibly not something I'd actively go out of my way to listen to, it was pleasant to listen to. Nice to have something enjoyable like that to focus on for a bit.

Doesn't look like anybody is wearing masks. People aren't tending to wear them outdoors much here, either. But our cases have been steadily on the rise. Looks like people maybe miss the parades. :)

Yeah, same here. Although, ours is one of the areas not rising quite so fast (at the moment). It doesn't help that the government had this, "Eat out to help out," scheme going, and were encouraging people to get out there like they hadn't been able to do before the lockdown, which most people took to mean the pandemic was behind us. Now cases are on the rise, some areas have already gone in to lockdown, and the threat of another lockdown for everyone is hanging over us.

That would be my guess too. About it looking like someone was missing the parades, I mean.
