We're Moving Home (Again) + Lilie The #Westie Demands More Playing Ball And Going Walkies, And Less Packing Boxes

Hi everyone.  This is Lilie the Westie.

They’re doing it again!

Mummy and Daddy are putting everything in boxes.  I mean, everything! Even more than last time.

They've been slowly doing it for weeks, but now it's getting worse.

Mummy says it's because we're going to be moving very soon.  She says she's taking us to the new place at the end of next week, and Daddy will follow with the rest of our stuff as soon as he can afterwards.  Apparently it's easier for them to do it that way.

But  I don't understand.  Why are we going to a new place again? Why is it easier if Mummy takes us to the new place before Daddy is ready to come? And why is all their stuff going back in boxes?

It's all so confusing.  And I don't like it.

Well, OK, there’s still some stuff not in boxes.  Mostly though they’ve packed it all, except there’s a few things they haven’t packed, like how there’s stuff in the bathroom, as well as in the kitchen cupboards, and they haven’t packed much of our stuff.  I’m not sure why, but Mummy says that’s, “Last minute stuff,” or something.

But that actually makes me more worried.  I mean, why haven’t they packed our stuff?

Mummy and Daddy say it’s all OK, and we shouldn't worry.  They say our stuff will get packed next week in time for us moving, and we’re going to get a nice place with a garden, where me and Logan can go out a million times a day if we want.

I don’t know how many times that is, because I can’t do numbers bigger than ten, but since ten is a big number and it’s more than that, I’m real excited about that idea.  Especially since they say garden means outside without the harness and lead, which sounds amazing!

Logan is just sad and confused.  He’s even more worried than I am, and keeps either climbing in the boxes to make sure they don’t forget him, or hugging Mummy tight to make sure she can’t go anywhere without him.  Mummy and Daddy both say we’re definitely going with them to this place with a garden, but Logan is so easily upset and confused that he still feels like he needs to remind them not to forget to take him with them.

Not that I blame him.  I also just can’t help being worried about all this putting things in boxes business, even though I’m trying to do what Mummy and Daddy say and not worry.

It would help if they spent more time playing ball with me, and less time packing things in boxes.  I wouldn’t have time to worry if we were playing ball more.  There should always be more playing ball.  Or walkies.  Walkies are good too.  There should be more walkies and more playing ball, and less packing things in boxes.  Even if this garden thing does sound great.

Maybe I’ll go throw my ball at Mummy and see if she’ll play ball with me right now...

She says we're not going for another week, so I'm sure she can spare some time to play, especially since there's not much left to pack other than our stuff.

I mean, I know she says she has a lot to do, but she'll make time to play with me... Right?

Before I go, Mummy asked me to tell you we'll tell you all about the new house when we have more time to do so, but with less than two weeks to make the final arrangements - and the complications caused by moving during avirus - time is limited right now, especially with the fact we're moving a long way.  I don't know where, but Mummy said something about going home.

Hmmm... I hope that not having much time thing doesn't make my ball and walkies time stop...

Either way, she also says to warn you we'll be offline for at least a couple of days next month starting from December 4th (definitely until the 8th, but it could be longer if we have issues getting internet back quickly , like we did last time we moved).  But there are posts set up for you, since we'd done some of them ages ago anyhow, and she was ready with the others because she anticipated something like this happening.

Right, now... Where did I put that ball...?

 Lots of licks,

Lilie

Home? Does that mean you are moving back to Wales?

Things are going to be a bit crazy for a while, but I'm so excited for you all.

Lillie, you will love having a garden!! :)

Mommy definitely needs a blog break with the move. I think you'll be very happy in your new home -- and don't worry. They won't forget your things!

Oh wow Lilie, you're moving to Wales? That's far but don't worry you'll have a garden, imagine all that time in your own garden :) Tori, I hope the move goes well for you all and you're not too exhausted by it. Are you moving closer to family or somewhere else? I don't know many places in Wales but I have been to Swansea before (abrief trip to check out there uni a long time ago) and I've also visited further north to and a town about an hour away from Camarthen. Wales is a beautiful place but it is sad that you have to leave your home, although I'm glad you can get away from that crazy landlord!

Since I've never had a garden, I'm not sure what one is. It does sound exciting though.

Lots of licks,
Lilie

Oh, yes, some time away is definitely something this Mummy could do with right about now. It won't be entirely restful, since there's going to be the journey there, getting the petkids settled in, unpacking the bits I take with me, etc. But I will have some quiet moments to just relax and read with no obligations, and I'm totally looking forward to that!

I'm moving closer to family. I did consider going to a different part of Wales, but in the end we decided to go closer to where my family is, which is actually not all that far from Swansea. In fact, one of the places we were looking at available properties in was Swansea. Where I'll be is roughly 20 minutes drive from Swansea (if you have a car - longer if you're dealing with public transport, because you have to take a round about route).

Frankly, I'm already exhausted, but will have some quiet time with nothing to do but read and play with petkids during some of the weekend, so that will help some.
