Things I could have said yesterday (FD)

I took a couple more photos of Emma-Jane on Tuesday while I had her on my own. I didn't mention them yesterday because I wasn't sure if I'd managed to get her in any of them. Apparently I had though, so here they are:

First, here she is sat in her highchair enjoying a sausage roll:

And here she is sat on the floor playing:

The doll is one I got her Tuesday. It only cost £2 (about $4) and she seemed to really like it - I showed it to her in the shop, and we got quite a way around the shop before she let go of it, and then I think it was only because she noticed the Eeyore dangling from the bag I had round my waist - so I "had to" get it for her. I was pleased to see she was still interested enough in it to want to play with it when we got home (well, back to Mam's place). It was definately worth the £2 it cost!

Soon after I took that photo, she put the doll in the little pushchair she has there and was pushing it about. It was so cute! I didn't try to get a photo of that though... It's hard enough getting photos of her when she's staying still, so I didn't think I'd have much luck - if any - when she was on the move! ;)

***

We've had beautiful weather most days. The odd light shower (like late Monday, I think it was) and the odd bit of really cold wind (like yesterday's rather chilly wind). But mostly it's been quite nice here. Warm and sunny, but not too hot... That's how it's been most of the time. Nice enough to be outside, but not hot enough to make you feel uncomfortable or anything... Just how I like it! :)

***

For now at least I wont be doing the "Furkid Friday" posts every week. I'm finding that either I have nothing new to post for them - either because I already mentioned it when I did my own posts, or because nothing happened worth mentioning - or I forget to mention stuff because it happened earlier in the week and by Friday I don't remember to add itt to the post. Anyway, when either Kero or Gwydion have anything worth posting I'll do a post from them, otherwise it will be mentioned in my posts (depending on if it's just usual day to day things, or something interesting that's worth doing from their point of view). In the meantime, here's a photo that was taken of Kero a couple of weeks back, but which I never got around to posting:

***

I gained 1lb this past week. Can't say I'm surprised about that. Actually, I expected to have gained more than that. Thing is, it was only last week I was able to fully eat "normal" food again after my throat being so sore, plus the fact that most of what I ate last week was... Well, let's just say it wasn't healthy! Anyway, when I weighed on Monday I discovered I'd put 1lb back on. But, that's OK! I mean, this is the first gain of any sort I've had, and... Well, I did lose the last 7lbs quite quickly. Not to mention the fact that - as I said - with what I'd been eating (mostly involving pizza, chips/fries and chocolate) I actually deserved to have gained more than 1lb. I'd like to say I've been doing better so far this week, but... *Sigh*... I really haven't! We had take-away on Monday, because it was Kelly's birthday, then I had the McDonalds breakfast, a donut and a whole lot of chocolate on Tuesday, and there was more chocolate yesterday... The chocolate is all eaten now though, so at least that's out of the way. And now I need to get back on track with my eating, and get back to eating the things I know I should be eating.

***

I've gotten a lot of those posts labelled. I've only got about 450 posts left to label. Yeah, that might sound like a lot, but when you think about the number of posts I've published, and the pile - now complete with labels - waiting to be published... Well, suddenly 450 left to label sounds like a nice, small number! I'm hoping to get some more of them done in these next few days. I'm at a point where I really can't wait for them to be over and done with though! I got through about 1200 of them, then started wondering what made me think this was a good idea. I almost decided to forget it, but then I reminded myself of how many I'd done, and I thought about the fact that there would now be more to go through and remove labels from than there were left to label. I also thought about the fact that once I start something I like to finish it, and - despite the fact part of me is wishing I wasn't doing this (not least because reading some of the old posts is far from enjoyable) - I'm going to finish what I started, and I'm going to get labels on all my posts!

***

OK, this will do for today.

I hope that everyone is happy, healthy, safe and warm! If you aren't... Then consider positive thoughts sent in your direction! And a few hugs too!

McDonalds, magazines and much mayhem (FD)

Sorry for not being around much lately. Between catching up on watching things that had been recorded on the Sky box for me, catching up on bits of knitting I couldn't get done while I was sick, etc, I've not had time to be online much, and when I have been I've mostly been sorting out labels for old posts. I'll get to your blogs soon though... Honest! *** I seem to have gotten rid of that cough... For now! Hope it doesn't come back! *** I've done a load more of Louise's scarf, and I'm now almost 2 thirds of the way through it. Not quite, but almost! Hoping to get it done soon so I can get on with the rest of the items on my ever growing "projects to complete" list. *** Mam had Emma-Jane for the day on Friday, so she suggested she took Emma and I out to McDonalds for lunch. I agreed, so we went. While we were out, we took these photos of Emma in her carseat in the back of Mam's car:

If she doesn't look happy, it's because she isn't at the moment. Her back teeth are cutting, and it's giving her a cough, a runny nose, and a bit of an attitude. I can't say I blame her though. And she is finding a smile from time to time... Just not when these photos were being taken. I figured I'd share them anyway though, for those of you who enjoy baby photos. Besides, we took them, so I might as well post them! ;)

Also, it was a very sunny day, and the sun was on her, which she hates, so that wasn't helping. I also spent yesterday (Tuesday) with Mam and Emma. I brought us a McDonalds breakfast. I had an egg McMuffin meal, and I was very impressed with the ones who worked at McDonalds, because I stressed that I didn't want meat "in, or near" my McMuffin, so they made a point of making sure they used clean tongs, and didn't even let my food be anywhere near Mam's on the tray. I was pleased, because they were making such a big effort of making sure there was no way any meat was touching my food, compared to some places where they have a "that's your problem" type of attitude to things. So, they get plenty of brownie points for that in my book! ;) I got Emma the pancake and sausage meal, which they let us have a fruitshoot juice drink with because Emma can't yet manage an ordinary bottle or cup (she's only 13 months old, after all). She seemed to enjoy what made it to her mouth of it anyway. LOL! And Mam seemed to enjoy her food too! We did also get donuts, but we were full, so we ate those afterwards... Mine ended up being part of my lunch. We dragged poor Emma around shops while we got food shopping done and ran some errands. She was pretty good. She did demolish the box of an Easter egg Mam got her and decided to let her hold (to keep her from grabbing the other things in the trolley) but we managed to stop her demolishing the other items we were buying, and managed to keep her from reaching the things on the shelves, so that's a good thing! LOL! I spent some one on one time with Emma while Mam took the mower to Dad's for him to mow his lawn, and gave her some lunch. Mostly it was fine, except that right around when she was getting stressy and ready for a nap, I kind of lost her dummy (pacifier). She usually throws it, then wants it back, then sucks it frantically before settling to sleep. No problem, only... When she threw it I couldn't find it. It landed in the ball pool, among all the toys in it. So, there I was, frantically sorting through the toys to find the dummy, while Emma - wanting the dummy, and not understanding why she wasn't getting it - was having a total melt down. Seriously! I'm talking burying her face in the floor, fists clenched, kicking her legs, full on tantrum! Thing is, I was at Mam's place with her, and had no idea where to find spare dummies there, so I couldn't even give her a substitute dummy, and had no choice but to put up with the tantrum while trying desperately to locate the dummy (something that would have been much easier if having no sight didn't mean I had to literally check every object in the ball pool until I found the lost dummy). I "finally" located the dummy, shoved it in her mouth, and... Ah! Silence! Only, then my Mam got back, and Emma took it as her cue to make it clear she wasn't impressed at being left behind, and started to cry again! She only cried for a few seconds that time though, thankfully! Mam thought she'd been crying the whole time, so I explained what had happened. Mind you, I had to explain anyway, since my greeting to Mam was, "oh, yeah... Now you get back!" It wasn't that she had been crying so. I mean, the crying wouldn't have been so bad, if it wasn't for the fact I know - and knew at the time - that it could have been stopped before it got to tantrum stage just by presenting Emma with a dummy, and I was frustrated that it was because I couldn't find the dummy that I'd had to endure 10 minutes of a toddler tantrum! I still want kids though... LOL! *** The first issue of my Art Of Knitting magazine arrived a couple of weeks back, but there still hasn't been any sign of the other issues I should have had by now. So, I called them. Apparently, due to needing to reprint copies of issue 1 they put the subscription start date back a bit, so I have to wait the length of time I would have waited had I started the subscription later than I did (if that makes sense). So, I pointed out that I knew someone who had been caught up on them, and they asked if that person had subscribed by phone. I said they had, and was told that they'd delayed the start dates for those of us who subscribed online, but not those who subscribed by phone. Now, either that's the biggest load of rubbish I've heard recently, or that was very unfair. Why should it matter how you subscribe? You either subscribe, or you don't. It should go in order of subscription date, and since this person subscribed a week later than me, she should be a week behind me recieving her issues, not about 4 issues ahead of me! *Sigh* Anyway, "supposedly" I should get my next issues in the next couple of weeks. We'll see. If I don't, I'll be calling them again though, you can count on that! At least my Baked And Delicious magazine is showing up when it's meant to... That's a start, I guess! *** OK, this will do for today...

On this day in 2006...

Today is the anniversary of when I started my blog, and I wanted to write something meningful to thank my friends for being there for me through all the hard times; losing my sight, losing my Oriental cat, Myskanco "Chance" Silva flame, and all the other losses. And through all the happy times too. But I've been trying to do it for more than half an hour so far, and I just can't find the words. So, instead, I'll say this: On this day in 2006, I started this blog. In that time I've made a lot of friends. Some of them have turned out not to be who I thought they were; some have turned out to be wonderful friends.

To those who turned out not to be who I thought they were: lies and deception get you nowhere in life, and I can only hope you will some day learn the error of your ways, and in doing so that you will turn over a new leaf and - perhaps - find it in yourself to be the person I thought you were.

To those who turned out to be wonderful friends: Thank you! Thank you for being there for me when I needed a friend, and for... Well, for being you!

Happy birthday Kelly

You'll never guess who's birthday it is today? LOL! OK, the post title does kind of give it away, doesn't it? Yes... It's my hubby, Kelly's birthday today. I couldn't possiblyy let the day go by without doing a post to wish him a very happy birthday, so here's that post!

Happy birthday Kelly! I hope you're having an absolutely wonderful birthday, and that I get to celebrate many more of your birthdays with you in years to come!

Love, Tori xXxXx

A May Day Carol (FD)

~~Author Unknown~~

Awake, awake, my pretty prithy maid,
Come out of your drowsy dream,
And step into your dairy hold,
And fetch me a bowl of cream
If not a bowl of cream, my dear,
A cup of meade to cheer,
For the Lord and Lady know we shall meet again,
To go Maying another year.
A branch of May I brought you here,
While at your keep I stand,
'Tis but a sprout all budded out,
By the power of our Lady's hand.
My song is done and I must be gone,
No longer may I stay,
Gods bless you all, the great and small,
And send you a joyous May.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (preview)

In just a couple of months, the final Harry Potter movie - "Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2" - will be in cinemas all around the world. Personally, I'm really looking forward to it. If you are too, then you will probably be interested in watching this preview of the movie.

Furkid Friday: Easter 2011 (FD)

Hi there humans. This is Gwydion again.

Well, something the humans call "Easter" happened this past week. Now, I have no idea what an "Easter" is, but I do know that it involves treats, so I approve of it. I didn't, however, approve of being involved in photo taking, so you'll have to settle for a photo of the treats I got for that "Easter" thing instead of a photo of me eating one of the treats, because I refused to allow a photo of me to be taken. You may notice in the photo I'm about to show you of my treats that the packet is open, and one of the treats is missing? Well, that's because the other treat (it's a pack of two) was in my cage by this point. Like I said though I refused to have my photo taken eating it, so the humans figured they might as well just take this photo:

Kero, however, had no issues with having his photo taken with his treat, and quite happily chomped away at it while the humans took photos. He loves having his photo taken though; and - since he loves treats too - having his photo taken while eating a treat is his idea of fun. I don't get why, personally, but there you go! Mind you, there are a lot of things that dog does that I just can't make sense of (or wouldn't do in a million years). Anyway, here are his photos:

Also - on top of those treats - I got some fresh fruit and veggies, and Kero got some ham and cheese. Mind you, that happens regularly anyway, but still...

I hope your Easter was as good as ours!

Squeak soon,
Gwydion

Just another Thursday afternoon

I did a post earlier, but I'm bored, so you can have another one. ;)

My throat's stopped hurrting. My cough is practically non-existent (it just shows up from time to time during the evening). I still hardly slept last night though. Can't say I'm all that shocked. At least it was at night I slept. Almost. The first part of the night, anyway. Still, it was at night... Sort of!

I've done nothing exciting so far this week; houshold chores, labeling blog posts, that sort of thing. Very exciting... Or not! Actually, some of the old posts are amusing. I have to wonder why I have so many followers; I post some rubbish... No, I really do! Funny thing is... I think it's those posts that have the most comments. LOL!

Easter 2011 pressies (FD)

I had a few Easter eggs for Easter; but I didn't see the point in taking photos of them. I did, however, take photos of the things that came with the eggs, and here they are:

Firstly, a Dr Who Dalek mug:

No, it's not 4 different mugs; the different coloured Daleks are just different coloured ones that are around the mug: a white one, a blue one, a yellow one, and a red one. I'm not as big a fan of Dr Who as many people in the family, but I do quite like the Daleks, so when Kelly saw that mug - which came with a small, hollow, chocolate egg - he said he just "had to" get it for me.

He also got me this Tinker Bell watering can:

It's a little tin watering can; decorated with the faries from the same Tinker Bell movies I posted reviews for recently. It came with some tiny chocolate eggs and some marshmallow treats in it. I gave the marshmallow treats to my Mam though, because I don't eat them. We got her one of these watering cans as well, since she absolutely loves anything Tinker Bell (and Hello Kitty). I did actually have this early, but I'm posting it now since it was technically an Easter present.

I also got this mug:

Milkybar is my all time favourite chocolate, and this mug came with a large, hollow, Milkybar chocolate egg, and two bars of Milkybar chocolate. Mmmmm! I actually brought this for myself, because I just "had to" have it, and for the most part the family agreed we weren't exchanging eggs this year (we only got for Mam, Wayne, and Emma-Jane).

The other eggs I had were: a chocolate button egg (hollow chocolate egg with a packet of chocolate buttons inside it), a mini smarty egg (small hollow egg filled with mini smarties) and an "Aero Bubbly Lamb" (Aero chocolate made in the shape of a tiny lamb).

Happy birthday ChicagoLady and Louise

Today is both ChicagoLady's birthday, and the birthday of a family friend named Louise (Emma-Jane's Mother). So, I wanted to wish them both a very happy birthday. I hope it's a great birthday for both of you!

Silly little Easter joke

I know Easter is over now, but I found this in my inbox last night and couldn't resist sharing it. It's a silly little joke, but... *Shrugs*...

Q: How many Easter bunnies can you fit in an empty Easter basket?
A: Only 1, because after that the basket is no longer empty.

I told you it was a silly joke; I couldn't resist sharing it though!

Happy birthday Jackie

Today is a family friend's birthday. Her name is Jackie (as you probably guessed from the post title). I don't know if she reads my blog or not. I doubt it, but I figured I would say, "happy birthday," anyway. So... Happy birthday, Jackie!

Monday - 20:21

Yeah, I know I already did a post today, but here's another for you...

For anyone wondering... I'm feeling a lot better today; and able to eat "proper" food without feeling like I'm swallowing razor blades. Also, the cough seems to have just become one of those irritating coughs you get for a bit on and off when you're trying to sleep. Speaking of which... Despite the cough, I did sleep a bit last night. Not much, but I did have a bit of a nap this afternoon so that makes up for it.

Anyway, I took Kero for a walk today for the first time since I got sick. Kero was so excited when he figured out it was me who was taking him. Bless him! It was a beautiful day for it; sunny and warm, but not too hot. I wore a jacket even though it was warm enough not to need one; I figured it was for the best, what with being ill and stuck inside for almost two weeks. I was a bit warm in the jacket, but figured better that than being too cold and ending up back to being ill and stuck inside.

I had some nice bird company for the walk too; I'm sure there are nests in some of the trees along the path, since I'm sure I heard some baby birds chirping.

Also, I weighed today - like I usually do on a Monday - and I lost 2lbs 4oz. This means I've now lost a whole stone (14lbs) since early March. Since my personal goal is 1lb per week, I'm really pleased. I mean, I've lost more than that most weeks. Sure, I'm not quite on track for losing the 2 stone (28lbs) the gynaecologists want me to have lost by the time I'm due to see them again at the start of June; I am close to it though, and still "might" make the 2 stone weight loss. You never know!

crafty update

I don't know if you remember me mentioning before Christmas about making a clay item for someone, but not wanting to mention it because the person would see? Well... After it arrived with the person I meant to say something, but never got around to it. Then it was mentioned on the blog of the person in question, and I meant to link to the post to say about it (especially since the post contains a photo, and I forgot to get one). Anyway, to get to the point... The item was the clay SpongeBob figure I made for Iggy, which he mentioned in this post. You've probably all seen it by now, but I did say at the time I'd let you know once I could... I just kept forgetting. I usually have loads of things I want to post about, so I do forget to mention - or update you on - things sometimes. In more recent craft news... I'm still working on the scarf for Louise. I had hoped to have it done by now; I'd hoped to give it to her for her birthday (her birthday is in two days time). I'm not even quite half way through it though. Thing is, I couldn't work on it when I wasn't well, because I couldn't concentrate properly. Plus, I kept coughing and almost ending up dropping stitches, so gave up as I didn't want to have to start over. Also, Emma-Jane got a little dolls' pram for her birthday, and I've been asked to make a little blanket for her dolls. Now that I'm feeling a lot better, I'm hoping to do some serious work on the scarf, then make the blanket for Emma-Jane's dolls. As a warning, this may mean I miss days on the blogs; so, sorry in advance for that.

Crumbly world

I wonder why it is that I have the exact same hilusination every time I'm ill?

Everything seems to crumble around me - faster if I touch it - the air is stale, and a shadowy shape is gliding towards me. I can't back away though, because there's nowhere to back away to; the world is crumbling away. Then, suddenly, everything is all normal; the air is back to normal, breathable air. And the shadowy shape is gone.

Even now I can't see, I still "see" the same thing.

I don't know if it's meant to mean something, or if it's just a coincidence I have the same hilusination each time (usually at the peak of my illness). Maybe I'm just weird?

*Shrugs*

Anyway, I'm feeling much better today. I'm still coughing a good deal, but not as much as I was. My throat's still a bit sore, but I've managed to eat a few things that weren't mushy food today; and without it hurting too much. Also, I finally got a decent chunk of sleep. Shame it was all afternoon and in to the evening - which means I'm going to be up for the night, and will now need to try and put my sleeping pattern back to rights again - but with how I've been sleeping (or, more to the point, not sleeping) since I became ill, I'm very much leaning towards the, "I don't care, because I slept, and that's what really matters" frame of mind. Besides, it's not like I'm a stranger to strange sleeping routines, since I haven't had a consistent "normal" sleeping pattern since... Well, it's almost four years ago now.

A List Of "Green" Things To Do For Earth Day 2011

By: Kristal Roberts

April 22, 2011 marks the 41st anniversary of Earth Day -- a distinctively American tradition that not only encourages people to appreciate the wonders of nature, but preserve the environment and its natural resources.
The best part about celebrating Earth day is that there are many ways to honor the planet. From the grandiose to the simplistic, here are a couple of ways to have an impact on the planet that you call home.

Pledge an act of green
Help the Earth Day Network reach a 'Billion Acts of Green' by pledging a Green Act of kindness on their website .
According to Earth Day Network’s website, “Every Act registered will be counted toward our ultimate goal of amassing one billion actions in advance of the 2012 UN Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. At millions of actions, A Billion Acts of Green is the largest environmental service and advocacy campaign in the world.”

Green Acts
- Plant a tree
- Brush your teeth without running water
- Carpool. Tampa Bay residents can reduce carbon emission by visiting Tampa Bay Ride Share and finding a group to carpool with.
- Sign petition for Green Jobs Legislation. Tell Congress that you want comprehensive green jobs legislation to help put Americans back to work and solve the climate crisis here .
- Commit to recycling in your home and office
- Donate clothes and toys to the Salvation Army
- Eat more locally grown food
- Start a garden
- Bring reusable shopping bags to the grocery store
- Fight Deforestation. For every dollar donated to the Canopy Project, a tree will be planted at a minimum donation of $10.
- Use green cleaning products

Furkid Friday: neighbours and invaders

Hi there humans. This is Kero here.

Well, my Mami human is still not well, so I have to keep a close eye on her. Dadi and Mamgu said she wasn't allowed to take me walkies though, which is so not fair! Dadi has been taking me, but I wish my Mami could take me. Mami says if I just give her a couple more days then she will take me no matter if she's fully better or not, and no matter what Dadi and Mamgu say. Like I said, Dadi has been taking me, it's just... Well, I just like walkies when Mami comes best! Dadi doesn't really do anything different. I just don't like leaving mami at home while I go out for walkies.

I've seen a few of my doggy friends while out for walkies with Dadi. Including a pair of Jack Russels. I don't remember the male's name, but the female's name was Roxy. I don't think I've met them before. They seemed really nice; from what I could tell. Roxy refused to let me sniff her properly. I let her sniff me from nose to tail, but she wouldn't let me sniff near her tail end. Some females are like that. I have no idea why, but it's just something I've noticed with some females.

Anyway, I may have saved Gwydion's life the other day. Dadi opened the kitchen window wide, because the thing that beeps when there's smoke in the house is very sensative and goes off with even just a little steam. That wasn't a big deal. The thing was, he forgot to close it afterwards. Anyway, next thing I know this big cat has gotten in through the window and is on top of Gwydion's cage. I wasn't having that!

I barked and growled at it, and made it get down. Then I chased it around the kitchen until I had it cornered by the back door. And then I called Mami (who was asking me what I was barking for this time) to show her. When she realised about the now hissing cat I'd cornered, she told me I was a good dog. I was really pleased about that, and stepped back a bit to tell Mami she was in charge of what happened to the cat from this point. Only, the cat took advantage of me taking a step back from it, and it jumped back out of the kitchen window. I was worried Mami would be mad I let it get away, but she wasn't. She still said I was a, "good dog," and she even gave me a treat to show me she meant it.

The cat didn't dare come back after that (I did patrol the house - especially the kitchen - for about an hour afterwards to be sure).

Oh, yeah... I know you'll be wondering, so... Gwydion was completely fine after it... I guess I got to the cat in time. He was a bit quiet that evening, but that's about it, and he was back to his noisy self by the next morning.

When Dadi found out what happened (he was at the shop when it happened) he checked on Gwydion, made sure the window was closed, and then... Well, then he noticed that I'd knocked over a tray of his special little soldier figure things that are in the room Gwydion is in. I was sure I was going to get in big trouble for that; nobody does stuff to Dadi's figures and gets away with it. I was pleasantly surprised though when Dadi said he wasn't mad about the mess I'd made of the figures, since Gwydion was more important, and I was a really good boy for protecting Gwydion.

That's about all that's happened recently; maybe things will pick up when Mami gets better?

Licks and sniffs,
Kero

Percy Jackson & the Lightning Thief

Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (original title)

"A teenager discovers he's the descendant of a Greek god and sets out on an adventure to settle an on-going battle between the gods."

"When his lightning bolt is stolen, Zeus accuses Poseidon's son Percy Jackson and gives fourteen days to Poseidon to return his lightning bolt; otherwise he would initiate a war against his brother. Meanwhile the dyslexic and with ADHD teenager Percy is visiting The Museum of Metropolitan of Art and is attacked by a Fury disguised in his teacher. His crippled best friend Grover reveals that Percy is a demigod and he is his protector and his teacher Mr. Brunner gives a pen to him telling that it is a powerful weapon. They go to Percy's house and together with his mother Sally, they drive to the Camp Half-Blood. However Sally is attacked by a Minotaur and vanishes before Percy can help her. In the camp, Percy befriends the gorgeous Annabeth; when they are attacked by Hades who wants the lighting bolt for him, Percy discovers that his mother is in Hell with Hades. Percy decides to travel in a dangerous quest to retrieve the lightning bolt and save his mother..."

(Above taken from this page).

I'd been looking forward to this movie... I'd heard it was really good. It didn't disappoint me... It was a fantastic movie! I recommend this movie to anyone who hasn't seen it yet... Especially if you have even a fleeting interest in Greek mythology!

Throats and things (FD)

I'm still not feeling 100%. My throat still hurts a lot - especially if I try to eat anything that isn't soft mushy stuff - and I'm still coughing a fair bit (especially at night). But I think I'm starting to get a bit better, and should - I hope - be completely better soon.

Good news though... Despite not going out for walks - due to being banned from doing so by both Mam and Kelly until I'm better - I was expecting to end up gaining weight this past week. That's not what happened though. I lost 5lbs! I'm assuming the mostly liquid diet is responsible for that? I mean, my meals have involved Ready Brek (a runny oatmeal meant for children, but which I love), Weetabix, ice-cream, yogurts, and the ocasional other soft meal (like soup, scrambled eggs, etc). I did try and eat a bit of toast the other day, but it hurt too much, so I gave the toast to Kero and had a yogurt instead. Anyway, I'm pleased about the 5lbs weight loss. Hopefully I wont put much - if anything - on when I can finally eat normal foods.

Dad was meant to come for a visit Friday. We were going to watch movies, and he was going to be having dinner with me. But because I wasn't well we cancelled his visit.

I'm hoping to get to your blogs soon... Being unwell has put me quite a way behind though, so if it takes me a while to get to your blog, but you see I've been visiting others, it's nothing personal... It just means I haven't gotten to yours yet.

Nanny McPhee And The Big Bang

"Nanny McPhee arrives to help a harried young mother who is trying to run the family farm while her husband is away at war, though she uses her magic to teach the woman's children and their two spoiled cousins five new lessons."

(Above taken from here).

This was a fantastic movie... Just like the first one was! One of those rare sequels that actually are as good as the first one, I think!
