Millennium Falcom

Kelly took some photos of my big Millennium Falcom model that he got me for Christmas so that I could post them on here to show you all. It's a very detailed model... There's even a mini figure of Hans Solo and Chewbakka (sp?) in the cockpit (not sure if you can see them though... Kelly says they're really hard to see now that the top is put on). Anyway... Kelly and I put it together on Boxing Day.

Is that one of those models that you put together? That looks like a lot of work but it looks great. Do you collect Star Wars stuff?

Looks like a fairly good sized model. Hey, is that Pikachu peeking out from under the next shelf?

Very nice piece.

Yes, it's a model that you put together. Kelly and I put it together on Boxing Day... It took us pretty much the entire evening.

I don't exactly collect Star Wars stuff, but I do like Star Wars, and there isn't really a reason I haven't collected any Star Wars stuff before. I guess I just never bothered since my brother was collecting enough for both of us. LOL!

And, yes, it is a tidy sized model.

AK:
Yeah... I have a few Pikachu things.

You and Kelly did a great job putting the Falcon together. Where will you display it, now that it's all put together?

I can see Chewy and Hans! That looks really impressive Tori! How about you hitch a ride and and pick up everyone for a drink or two with the band in the the catina on Tatooine?

:)

Matt is totally drooling over your Millennium Falcon. I believe he wants to play in the bathtub with it.

Have a Wonderful 2009, Tori!

Glad you all like it! :)

Toasty:
Yeah, something like that. Not an actual airfix model I don't think, but something simular to it.

Whim:
Happy New Year to you too! :)

Chicago:
No idea. At the moment it's in the bedroom on the shelf the photo was taken on. I'm hoping that once the Christmas decorations go away in to storage we can spot a good place for it. Maybe if I put my dinosaurs on the window sill I can put it on top of the TV? (The dinosaurs are smaller than the ship so would fit on the sill, but the ship is too wide). Not sure yet though!

Iggy:
Good idea! :)

The same way my brother puts his Warhammer models together without sight... The pieces are different shapes so if you think about what it's meant to look like after then it's not too difficult to figure out which bit goes where. It's kind of like the way people with sight figure out jigsaw puzzle pieces, only we do it with hands not eyes. And if we have problems then we ask for help.

Also, in this case I had help from Kelly this time... We worked on it together.

Wifey:
Well, it's mine, and he can't have it!

I friggin' LOVE that thing!

Good job with the building of it!

I used to collect Star Wars things in my youth, but we had a fire at my parents home in the early 80's and I lost it all!

I have, however, started another Star Wars collection.

It's ALL droids! Nothing else. Just the droids! I wish you could see a picture of them all! At present count I have 42 of them, (much to Becky's disapproval).

Hmmm... I think you've just given me a blog idea!

Once again, awesome job on the model! It looks GREAT!

My brother collects Star Wars stuff. He's got some awesome things. Everything from guns that make noise to heads of a couple of the figures with miniture scenes from the movie in them. Most of his collection is in the attic at our parents' place though.
