A random Harry Potter related question

People keep telling me I'm like a combination of Luna Lovegood and Hermione Granger from Harry Potter. I have Luna's imagination and dreamy ways, but Hermione's love of books and thirst for knowledge. There may be other points that make them say I am a combination of those two characters, but those are the reasons I think they say it.

I was thinking about this while posting my last two posts, and it made me wonder...

If someone was to compare you to a character (or combination of characters) from the Harry Potter books/movies, which character(s) would they choose? And why?

I think I'd probably be a mix of Neville and Hermoine, the shy friendliness and somewhat bumbling nature of Neville, and the bookishness of Hermoine. Though, there IS a bit of the Luna dreaminess thrown in as well. And some of Ginny's general common sense (esp. as it shows up in later books).

What a fun question!!!

I'm going to say I'm a combination of Rubeus Hagrid and Norbert the Dragon (before they found out he was a she, anyway).

I have no clue so I went looking for some of those quiz thingys. A good 75% or more of them place me in with the Hermiones. However, I seem to have tendancies to lean toward Luna, and Ginny as well. Iggy, Alice, and Chicago...where would you place me?

Well, LadyStyx, I think we can rule out Fluffy and Aunt Petunia.

I think you are mostly Lily Potter (née Evans) with maybe a spoonful of Professor McGonagall and the one that did the Herbs... Pomona Sprout... and a pinch of Rolanda Hooch and a thimble of Firenze... You've been through too much to be a student. :)

Glad you're all enjoying the question. :)

Why Hagrid and Norbert?

I think I agree with Iggy, though I'm not sure where the addition of Professor Sprout comes in to it... Could you explain that one Iggy?

Only problem with those quizzes is they only really do the main characters (Ron, Hermione and Harry) with maybe Albus Dumbledore, Draco Malfoy and 1 or 2 others thrown in.

That's a good mixture. :)

Well, Herbology Pomona Sprout liked to make sure everyone knew how the "shop was run" and also, she was the head of the Hufflepuffs, which I am sure is where the sorting hat would place LadyStyx.

As for Norbert, I'm a fire-breathing dragon when it comes to commute driving (I define road rage) and when it comes to dealing with some of the "less bright ones" that are my customers. :)

Hagrid because he is a big hairy not-so-pretty guy that lives alone and loves the wild animals. Also, because means well and really loves those he cares about, even if his way of expressing himself is awkward and his "magic" is inept.

And here I thought it was because I was short and fat! LOL. No iggy's correct...if you read the creeds of each house, I most closely resemble the Hufflepuff House (which is precisely what I was thinking as I typed my answer...I just couldnt remember the name of the head of the house). Been thru too much to really be a student although Hermione pretty much acted beyond her years at times so it really is a fit. As for Fluffy, LOL....you aint seen me first thing in the morning or in a bad mood....then you'd swear Im the love child of Fluffy and Norbert (assuming a pairing is even possible...hey it worked in Shrek so why not).

True on the quizzes...but it was a good place to start and jog my memory.

As for Hagrid...I always though he was a touch of a cutie. His biggest charm was that although he was so inept at times...he "had his heart in the right place" when getting things done.

I always liked Hagrid too. His heart is in the right place and he's as loyal as they come and that's what matters most in a person... Even if that person is a half-giant.

*Nods* Yeah, OK... I see where the Professor Sprout bit comes in with LadyStyx now. Sounds right to me. From what I know of LadyStyx anyway. :)

Yes, the quizzes are a good place to start. And I think you do have some Hermione in you... I think it's your Hermione traits that make Iggy say you have some Lilly Potter in you... From what's said in the seventh book, Lilly sounds very much like Hermione. Or, is that just me?
