If you want to know more about the book, or the author, click on whichever it is you want to learn more about, and it will take you to the appropriate page on Goodreads. Clicking on my rating should take you to my actual Goodreads review for the book in question. Please bear in mind that the format I've reviewed on Goodreads may not be the format I actually read.
Alternatively, if it's a movie or TV show you want to know more about, just click on the title to go to a page where you can find out more details about the movie or TV show in question; the title links will usually take you to a page on IMDB.
Don't forget: I read and watch things across multiple genres, as well as for different age ranges, so you should always check before reading or viewing, to make certain something is suitable for the intended audience, especially when children are involved.
OK...
Here's what I read this week:
Will O' the Wisp by C.S. BoyackMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is a fantastic coming of age young adult story, perfect for those who enjoy a creepy paranormal tale. It's an excellent read, and does a great job of highlighting some of the issues faced by teens - especially those with disabilities - trying to fit in too. The plot is fast-paced and exciting, the characters are well-rounded and easy to connect with, and the whole thing is wonderfully written.
The Yak Guy Project by C.S. BoyackMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is an unusual and fast-paced story, with a variety of colourful and memorable characters. I especially love the talking yak who acts as the main character's guide during his journey of self-discovery and self-improvement. If you love imaginative and quirky tales, and are looking for a quick fantasy style read, you should definitely give this one a try.
Never trust anyone who has not brought a book with them.
~Lemony Snicket
As for what I've been watching:
I watched four DVDs during the past week: the rest of NCIS season 10.
As I mentioned in a previous post, I only have up to season 10 of NCIS on DVD at the moment, so I'm now as caught up as I can be on DVD. I'll get the rest at some point - I'm not sure when, though I'm hopeful not too far in the future - but at least I have enough other things I can watch in the meantime. You'll probably be glad to get to hear about me watching something besides NCIS anyhow. *wink*

I know how you feel. I was watching Game of Thrones from the beginning for a couple of weeks--LOL! ;)
Rita:
Exactly! ;)
Actually, I'll be doing that at some point too. I wasn't going to, since I originally didn't think much of the TV show, but after reading the books, I now want to watch the TV show to see how they differ.
Isn't it a good feeling to get caught up on a series?! I can relate!
Jeanie:
Yes, it is! Although, I'm not caught up on it completely... Just as caught up as I can be until I get the rest on DVD. Still, even getting caught up with what I have of it is a really good feeling in itself.
Now to catch up with the rest of the DVDs in the stacks on my coffee table...
So glad you’re enjoying my stories. I also saw some Lanternfish love out there too. I’ll try to share this around and drive you some traffic.

Thanks for stopping by to comment, and for sharing this around. :)
Yes, I've finished Lanternfish too. The review for that one didn't make it in to this week's post though, so will be in next week's review post instead.
I've read both of these books (and a lot of Boyack's work) and I really enjoy his writing. So nice to see some of his novels featured here.

I've read other books of his too, a couple of which have been featured in previous review posts, and one of which will be in next week's post. I've still got a couple of his books to buy and read yet though. Still, so far I've enjoyed them all very much. Even "The Enhanced League" which features a sport I know and care little about.
Excellent reviews for two remarkable stories. I've read both and found them both highly entertaining. Congrats to the author and thanks for sharing!
